Club Mahindra Resort - Ashtamudi - Kerala - Resort hotel in Chavara, Thekkumbhagam - Kollam, India

We had an amazing lake view from our room. Rooms were clean. The food was just okay. They have photographers available in the property... They took nice photographs but did not do much editing as promised. We were disappointed with that. The hospitality of staff is poor. The room service and food delivery staff were polite.

Room ceilings had cobwebs, the fan was dusty, the water jugs weren't refilled, one of the restaurant staff was irresponsible and forgot the order. The check in & check out (front desk staff) were good. The buffet spread was good for all the three meals. Restaurant is spacious.

5 star only in looks not in quality : If i have to give a one line to club mahindra ashtamudi, this would be it. We went there last week as part of office team outing. I must say the property is well kept. Pool is clean, great view of the lake and rooms on the main building is spacious and good thats it, good points ends here. Lake view rooms have great view, but are small and old. Majority of the staffs were unwelcoming or rather indifferent. Rooms were not ready one time. Looks like they are highly understaffed. A worst of all food was pathetic. We opted for lunch buffet, 1300rs per head. For name sake, number of items would be high, but no non-veg salads, starters were pathetic, chicken kolapuri was the only good non-veg dish of the full lunch buffet. i havent had such bad desserts. even ice cream was not good, it tasted like medicine. we had to fight to get more non-veg dish for the money we paid. So if you are planning to stay for lake view alone, it is recommended. Buy/have food from outside and keep no expectations from staffs.

We booked this property 3 months in advance only by the name and Brand it carries. It is a nice 3-3.5 star property.. We reached property around 3 and rooms were not ready. They took 45 mins to allot 2 rooms and another 3rd was allotted in another 30-40 mins. By 4:30P we had our rooms. We ordered tea and the service guys told us that since we have kept the mugs in each room we will not supply mugs with the tea.. waaaoow.. now each one of us has to carry our mug from our room to take tea.. first red flag.. There are NO shampoos in the washroom.. upon calling house keeping - they said the soap is a mixture of both.. quite interesting.. Haha.. 2nd flag.. Fast forward to Dinner - spread was good as per a 4 star property.. service was pathetic..the service guys are roaming here and there and if you ask them something they will point out where the item is placed so that you get up and get by yourselves.. when I told the head of service guys if he could get coffee.. he simply said that coffee is there and upon insisting that they deliver it on the table coz we have kids... he said it will take time..and guess what he NEVER returned.. Very casual attitude towards the guests.. I would recommend the management to look into these serious issues. Location is good.. property is clean.. but service has a lot of scope. 3.5/5 max for the experience. We are a family with 2 Senior Citizens.. 2 Couples, 1 Solo and 3 kids under 5. Not recommended for families with kids..

Had an amazing holiday with family ! Excellent service and delicious food. Kudos and thanks to Chef Suresh and Mr.Sebastian for making our stay so comfortable. Special mention to all staff, especially housekeeping and the buggy driver. Everyone was very helpful and made our stay quite memorable. The rooms were excellent too. Overall, extremely happy and satisfied !

Very beautiful place. They have very luxurious floating cottage.Enjoyed our stay with family. 5star rooms and very good service.

This is probably one of the best Club Mahindra Resort. Hope they start to benchmark all other resorts with this place. The resort is quite clean well staffed. The food was quite good which was a relief as it's normally the worst aspect of most club Mahindra. The only drawback of the resort was the poor activity centre. The boat rides, the swimming pool all need to be up to date.

Away from ALL tight schedules and duties, We can explore natural beauty to its maximum. The service and facilities are very friendly for family spending. Foodies can enjoy the Restaurants with different styles and types of dishes... A great place to make Memories For Life.....
