Civil Hospital Shillong - General hospital in Shillong - East Khasi Hills, India

I am incredibly saddened by the services provided by one of the only three general government hospitals in Shillong. The issues faced by many patients and civilians are:- 1. We have to wait upto 1 hour to get a token. 2. We have to wait another half hour to go to the needed room for our specific ailment. 3. It takes more than a day to get reports even Xrays. 4. It takes a total of 3-4 days to finish the tests and get a physical fitness certificate. 5. Doctors leave their stations only after working from 10am-1pm 6. There is a lot of chaos in finding the rooms, where to go, what to do. As a patient or caretaker, no assistance is given by the staff. 7. When you go to one room, they ask you to go to another and then to another. This only shows there is confusion within the administration and no clear management has been fulfilled. These are some of the conditions faced by non-emergency patient and as a customer I personally faced this. I do not know how bad it is when a patient needs urgent care. Those who love their loved ones please do not send your parent or child or relative to this hospital especially for serious cases. For saving a little money, you may lose the ones you love.

I would say it's the worst hospital actually, the doctor called my mom to admit and when we were admitted we have no choice but to opt for Deluxe room(washroom thing)....being deluxe without any proper facilities ..when the blood was taken it took them 2 days to get the report...and the doctor is so careless that he could have warn about diabetes before surgery but no...took them another 2 days to run another blood test..and now after wasting 1 week here we are being sent home without undergoing any surgery .... literally just a waste of time.... please get your report ready from other hospital okay else good luck with your patience

Clean and very friendly environment but depend on whom you're having a conversation with, some people may be rude but some people are very kind and easy to chat too. Recommend for every people who need help because of affordable price.

The hospital is partly clean partly very dirty It has a spacious surrounding Located by the NH ...behind it is the popular tourist destination in shillong..loved by tourists The Phan Nonglait Park....which adds the greenery and the freshness of the hospital...... The hospital is congested....the OPD and Emergency and scanning and x ray MHIS counter are all located near each other congesting and crowding the emergency area..... The toilets are horrible.....parking is satusfactory in the hospital.. It has the capacity to be developed very well and make it one of the best hospitals in Shillong...however it is a blessing for the financially weaker sections of the society...and alot can be done to improve the hospital and make it at par with Government hospital like NEIGRIHMS ...so that good and modern facilities in health services a is enjoyed by all... It has yoga therapy centres and also naturopathy centre...

My mother was admitted there for a week or so...for 4 days Dey did nothing except giving her tablets.. which can be done at home too...when complained about it they started taking test from the very next day.. Some nurses were good but some were very rude...if you tell them anything all that dey have to say is wait were coming...and their coming nvr cms actually..however my mother started recovering and on the very nxt day they gave her 2 saline and when they were about to give the third my mother told the nurse that her head is aching and body is getting cold..but after hearing that too the nurse gave her saline after which my mother's body became cold and she had high fever throughout the night..so the very next day I spoke with the doctor and asked for discharge..I mean whT kind of reckless behaviour is this..seems like they forget they are dealing with people's life. And I will never forget what the nurse said( jaldi2 Khatam karega) SERIOUSLY..Worst experience.

The worst hospital in Shillong. A Govt run and the staff is not empathetic. I'm not saying all of them but most of the staff are unprofessional and behave like hooligans. The ward boys act very entitled and are rude. Overall this hospital is a waste of space and tax payer's money.

Surprised by the exceptional service and overall hygiene of a public hospital . Staff were very polite and helpful . Only downside was the washroom
