Chuttipara is one of the main landmarks of Pathanamthitta. And this clutter of hills, according to the locals, has a lot of Ramayana tales to tell. According to the legend, Rama and his entourage is supposed to have rested here during their many travels. The hills around Chuttipara - the Chelavirichapara, Kattadipara and Pulipara.

I just loved the view from top.It is my favorite place to spend my evening.There are 3 rocks.You have a steep slope concrete road access to the first rock where the temple is situated.From the first rock you can climp to the second and then to the third.From the second rock you get an astonishing view of the whole town. Suggested time to visit : Early morning or after 4.30 PM Note : 1.Difficult for climbing all the three moutains as there is no well structured stairs or anything.You just climp thats it. 2.When the sun goes down,theres is little or no light up the 2nd and 3 rd rocks that is You cant stay up there for so long.

Wonderful.... Absolutely wonder place to visit if you are little bit of an adventurer... The breeze is cool and the scenes are gorgeous... Try to visit around 6:30-8 am.You acn can park the vehicle near the fire station after asking permission (we did that).From Aban traffic signal, turn towards the Kumbazha road and after some metres, you will find the Fore station Board on the right side, go inside the way and clim up the steps and that's it. You won't find something like this in whole Pathanamthitta... I can guarantee

Awesome place must visit once to enjoy the freshness of nature .The Temple of Shiva provide the place so much powerful it's so wonderful to be there .the visiting time is 5am to 11 am morning and the evening from 5 pm

Great viewpoint place in Pathanamthitta City, especially during evening when the natural light fades, and Homelight appears with a cool atmosphere, it's a good feel

The place is one of the highlights of the district Pathanamthitta. Being a hilly area, pathanamthitta town can be viewed from a hill top view on top of this rock/hill. You can see the entire town on one side and other side, there is all the greenery typical of Kerala. Chuttippara is also a Hindu pilgrim centre with Shiva being the main diety. The place is still developing and hence lacks many basic amenities and not exactly tourist attractive. But if you are living in Pathanamthitta, plan on climbing through the extensive stairs (be careful about the slipperiness in rainy season) around evening and be back before night fall. Place is a hub for illegal activities after nightfall and is dangerous at night, so except during festive season, the climbing after 7 pm is not advisable. That said, be sure you can sit and enjoy the sunset and clean air (Pathanamthitta being rated best in air quality) and the atmosphere. Do not try climbing if you are afraid of heights. For those who are not, the view will impress you for sure.
