Shrine of Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj, grandson of Shivaji Maharaj. Situated on the banks of the confluence of the Venna and Krishna rivers. It is a Scenic place. The water is clean. There should be a signbord depicting the importance of the place.

However, after his death on 15 December 1749 at Rangmahal Rajwada Satara , power moved from the ruling Chhatrapati to his ministers (the Peshwas) and the generals who had carved out their own fiefdoms such as Bhonsle of Nagpur, Gaekwad of Baroda, Sindhia of Gwalior and Holkar of Indore.
