Chrissie's Hotel - Hotel in Kumily - Idukki, India

It is not your usual hotel with a good clean room etc. It's a boutique place with weird paintings on the wall. If you like hippie places, you might enjoy it. The restaurant is overpriced. There is no parking available. Location is slightly off the city centre, which means it is quiet, but also secluded. Dining options are limited.

Wow, what a place! I don't know where to start. Super friendly and helpful staff, very nice rooms with terraces into the green, very nice common areas and also a pool. The place is not directly at the road, which makes it even more relaxing. 100% recommendation!

The food was good and the ambiance great. Anthony at Christie's is a wonderful man who helped us greatly in our travels! Very grateful for his kindness.

Arrived as a customer, left as a friend, with so much goodness exhaling from owner/manager. Rooms are clean, bright, and thoughtfully set up. Staff could not do enough for us. And the best part was the wildlife, visible from ( or even on) our balcony. Loved it

This is a fantastic hotel staffed by wonderfully helpful people who arranged excursions, drinks and taxis for us. Surrounded by trees, which host various animals, and overlooking the nature reserve, the location is amazing! We would absolutely recommend a stay here

Tres bel endroit pour y passer une ou deux nuits, chambre entouree d'arbres dans lesquels on peut voir de son balcon la faune locale ( malabar et autres macaques ainsi que des oiseaux de toutes especes). Personnel attentif et de bon conseil pour les activites locales. Petit bemol, ils nous ont propose un repas pour le soir, une simple assiette de pates aux tomates mais au moment de payer lors du check out ... 400 roupies par personne! Un peu cher pour de simples pates.

A little paradise in kumily. Amazing owners and staff which will make you feel at home and comfortable at the very first minute. We loved our stay and could definitely have stayed there longer. Adel is more than helpful and organized whatever we needed. For example a great cooking class, tuk tuk and booked for us a jungle trekking tour. Food was delicious and the breakfast was the best we had in kerala. Thank you, dear Chrissie hotel, for making our stay perfect and for being purely friendly. Happy smiles on all faces ;-)

I visited Chrissie's Hotel on 3rd June & had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The management staff was incredibly humble and helpfull. The location of the hotel was excellent, and the food they served was outstanding. It felt like homemade food, and the service was prompt and on time. What impressed me the most was that they provided us with coffee even after 10 pm, which was a great gesture. The hotel's prime location made it convenient for us to reach quickly after our day activities. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent hospitality, delicious food, and convenient location.
