Chowman - Tollygunge - Chinese restaurant in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

The restaurant is nice but the food quality is a little bit better when I first visited this place in 2014. Food was ok. Not too good to recommend. If you have no expectations with chinese food then surely go. If you have high expectations with this place then think of it. Just ok type right now. Food is good but not up to the mark.

Chowman needs no description, it's an amazing place to have Chinese . The tastes are so perfect and unique, something you won't get anywhere else in Kolkata. Golf green is the oldest outlet of chowman. We ordered - Starter - clay pot prawn, stir fried four treasured mushroom Main course - chowman special rice, general tso's chicken. I have nothing extra to say about taste. It's just 5/5. Highly recommending.

A small restaurant with only 4 tables. Maximum 18-20 people can seat at a time. Service was good by all staffs. We tried Thai soup, Koonjey fried chicken, Shrimp fried rice, Garlic chicken and Squid with oyster sauce. Specially taste of squid was owsome. All the foods were good in taste. Chinese lovers should try here.

A small restaurant with just 4 tables inside. The food is decent and quantity is good. They do not have fresh lime or other mocktails mentioned.

Very small space, and non veg food items were not that good. Ramen tasted very bad. And prawns weren't even good. Veg is fine here, can try.

we were 5 of us for dinner on 9th October the service was very slow, whatever we asked for the first response was it is unavailable, the second choice was available. The A.C above our table was leaking and the place was very warm. Our server had no idea about the quantity of food served and made us over order, tuti fruit ice cream served to us was completely melted with no ice cream in it only white liquid in the name of ice cream at room temperature and he argued saying this is how tuti fruit is made, when just an hour ago while we were still eating it was served much better to the customer across our table. Our experience was pathetic the restaurant is very small and the food in Ballygunge is much better compared to Golf green . One would expect the same quality in all the branches.

Space is really small. Food was top notch as usual. Nothing to complain about. Lemon grass mixed rice is a must try. If you want ambience and comfort, avoid this outlet.

Nice cozy food joint with above standard quality of food. Though the place is too small to call it a restaurant and have very limited in dinning room, but the taste and the hospitality supersede everything. Ideal for friend and family dine out but maybe not comfortable for business treats. No alcohol provision is still available, may be in future that facility would be available. Recommended to visit atleast once.
