Chowman - Garia - Chinese restaurant in Kolkata - 24 Paraganas South, India

We visited to celebrate our friends birthday..it is situated near Garia hindusthan health point nursing home.. the location on Google map is correct.. it is situated on ground floor. It has only 14 seats to dine which is very cozy..this place offers takeaway and home delivery. The interior was not up to the mark as compared with the patuli branch except having 2 Buddha statues.The staffs were well behaved but they were serving very fastly due to heavy customer arrival.. food quality was more or less good.. the cocktails were good but every one had lemon leaves and lemon slices in it.i guess no washroom is available at the restaurant because we have not seen a single one.. i would suggest to visit here for a sudden meal not for any occasion purpose.otherwise you can visit the patuli main branch for a Chinese feel with Chinese food as well.. One must keep in mind it's a small outlet or branch restaurant of Chowman and one should not expect a spacious arrangement inside. It can occupy 22- 25 persons at once divided into different seating arrangements. It's located in Garia, near to Hindustan Health Point and the Google map shows the correct location. We have tried their Chowman's favourite soup which is non veg light white soup cooked with their special spices, chicken, mushroom, prawn, egg drop, Chinese vegetables etc. Then we ordered Seafood Fried rice and Hot pot Hunan chicken with shitake mushroom. Seafood fried rice was very light cooked with prawn, squids, crab meat and tasted good. Hot pot Hunan chicken with shitake mushroom was also good but the quantity of shitake mushrooms was less. Overall the quantity of food was good. In total it took 949 Indian rupees. Waiters were good in their service, also they didn't take much time to serve food. The ambience was also good and clean. Overall I find it a good option to enjoy Chinese food.

Food quality was awesome. Loved the Lamb dish. Tried Chowman Special Fried Rice, Lamb in Oyestar Sauce, Hunan Chicken with Shitake Mushroom and some mocktails. Among which Ice Peach Tea was my favourite.

Never order online from this restraunt. They give less quantity and take full amount from customers. Taking advantage of online customers as do not have to face them in case of bad service. The quantify provided was not more than 4 spoons.

I love this place. Food is not awasome but still very good. I love the variety of food, lamb, chicken, pork, crab, squid any thing you want with various preparations. If they include Sushi in their food menu no one will be happier than me. Staffs are very helpful and attentive. Soothing atmosphere. Not too crowded. Modarate pricing. Also have option for take out and they deliver also. I recently tried Khao suey and mustered squid, both are very good.

I loved the taste, delicious food , it tastes fresh , clean and elite ;) The staff I made was wonderful, he was suggesting menu and dishes according to the sauce they use to cook. What I felt sorry about was that this particular one is very small, probably the dine-in concept is getting challenged now in kolkata ?

I have ordered three dishes- 1. Schezwan Chicken Noodles 2. Veg Fried Rice 3. Chilli Chicken I must say all of these dishes are very tasty, good in quality and spicy that I always prefer for myself. I love the items and enjoy my evening with my family. Thank you Chowman!
