Choottad Beach Park - Park in Kannur - Kannur, India

On 15th August, almost everything was closed. No shops opened inside the park, neither kids ride. The beach was good, the waves were less and enjoyable. I guess some kind of beautification work is happening. Parking fee for 2 wheeler Rs10. Entry fee Rs30 Camera Rs100

One of the best beaches in kannur with best ambience to hangout with friends or family. Have many food courts and children's park. There is an entry fee of 25 rupees for adults. Also you can have pedal boating or speed boating. Parking is available for both 2 wheelers and four wheelers with a minimal fee. But parking will be an issue on weekends due to high number of vehicles.

This beach is near payyanur and Kannur. This beach is not provided with water sports activities. Toilet room facility is available here. One can visit in the evening for sunset view. Day time it will be hot. Trees shadow is good. Small restaurant and snacks shops are available here. Boating facility is available in the back water.

A very neat and serene beach with pine forests. The sunset is incredible to watch. There is a small entry fee at the Choottaad Beach park. There are a lot of kids play area just like a carnival. Flying boat is the one that caught my eye. There are restrooms, toilets feeding rooms etc.. Also there are small shops selling eatables. A paid parking facility is available. Overall the beach is clean and beautiful.

Not so clean beach. Almost every day it will be crowded. Reaching there, and going back from the beach is difficult unless you have your own vehicle. Pros. The best beach in Kannur district.The beach is located about 4 km from puthiyangadi town. Parking fee is Rs.20. Similarly, tickets are required to enter the beach. Tickets are for those above 5 years of age. Rs. 25 per person and Rs. 50 for cameras. If you want to go through the pine trees through the side instead of the main entrance, you can enter without taking a ticket. There is a park along with the beach here. Dressing room and toilet facilities are available in the park. All along the beach side are pine trees. The walk through the pine trees is cool. The park has several places for children to play. Then a swing is tied to a pine tree. There are some shops in the park but I am told that nothing is being stolen from there. An ice cream with MRP 30 is said to be 40 rupees. There are occasional plastic bins in the park that you can deposit in. There is also seating in the park. As soon as you go to the beach, you can see the mountain on the right side. The mountain standing next to the sea is beautiful to see. There is a creek that joins the sea and has kayaking facilities. There is no other such beautiful beach in Kannur district. Festivals are held here. Horse riding is available here. This is a very crowded beach in the evenings. You can see the sea full of boats if you stop here. This beach is a perfect place for couple's to enjoy. #totallysatisfied

The place is super good for family. But i dont think the entry fees they charge is worthful for that, because you have to pay for every facility inside the park even after the entry ticket. The beach is good. We can enjoy sunset with family. Washrooms and changing facilities are not recommended. But I really appreciate such an effort from the authorities to keep the beach like this.
