The strange thing about this railway station is that the Chittaranjan township is under West Bengal but this station is under Jharkhand. It is located at Mihijam, Jamtara district of Jharkhand. This junction station is clean and beautiful which consists of 3 platforms, decorated with paintings and greenery. The station is named after the great Indian freedom fighter Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das. Mainly Chittaranjan is famous for the World's Largest Locomotive production unit 'Chittaranjan Locomotive Works'. It is the source of income for most of the people here. The township is covered with greenery which makes it flawless. The atmosphere is very pleasant.

Chittaranjan Junction is a Small one but still it is very beautifully,you will see lots of birds even in night also,you will also see mithila madhubani paintings which looks too beautiful.

It's the main code line for howrah-delhi route.Station is quite clean..only 3 platform.. basically this place is famous for CHITTARANJAN LOCOMOTIVE WORKS(largest locomotive production unit in the world)

Ambient ale good... Clean all together. The only problem I do face is the limited number of stoppage of trains. More trains should have stopped here.

Though a small town and station being outside the town, it has maintained and kept the station in a proper condition. It has been renovated and the new look is beautiful. It gives all necessary facilities and amenities it can give though being a small station with only 3 platforms. The station is always kept clean and there are security personnel all around.

It is a place of intense serenity and greenery. One can find peace and comfort at best with the availability of almost everything very affordably. Love this place.
