Ground is very big. This ground famous for chitraloy rather mela ground. On this event on the ground u can see many stalls for different items. So many rides are available. Handicraft and food stall also available. Every year time of Ratha Jatra recommend to visit. The mela start from Rathajatra starting day and completing Ulto Rathajatra and then more 3-4 days.
Huge ground. Currently ongoing is Rother Mela. It runs for around 8-10 days. Weekend sees an amazing footfalls in this mela. Book fair, food fair, funny dress fair, ice cream fair, merrygo rounds, fuchka, achar, crockery, plastic, ceramics all in display. All classes of humans throng together to pay respects to God jagganath. Massive devotees looks forward to touch the Rath( Vehicle of God Jagganath). Overall a nice experience to see the entire ground thriving on emotion and passion.
A calm playground for people to take a walk, have a chitchat or learn driving with their loved ones. The place holds Rather Mela annually every year. Dussehra aka Ravan Dahan also occurs in this ground every year on Vijaya dashami.
I think this types of huge fair(mela) was not seen in Durgapur/Asansol region. You will get all the goods from this Rath mela. Very decorative mela, organizer are very good. Very nice maintain. Mela open upto 10 pm.

Well communicated area.... But no infrastructure like bathroom/drinking water facility is there... No rest room also.... No map display... Everywhere illeagal Parking are there claims 10/-cycle, 20/-byke, 40-50/-car... Road within mela maidan underdeveloped.... Dusty road...
