Let me unravel the chronicle of my misadventure at the Chithirapuram Palace, an escapade that began with a simple WhatsApp booking and ended in a saga more slippery than the very road that led me to this peculiar palace. So, there I was, all hopeful, having booked a room via the modern mystique that is WhatsApp. Little did I know, the journey would unveil itself as an odyssey worthy of an ancient Greek tragedy. Upon reaching the vicinity, the sight of the road caught me in a limbo between incredulity and outright panic. It was steeper than my aunt's gossip and slipperier than a politician dodging questions. This road, draped in green moss like a slippery catwalk for frogs, welcomed me with open arms, and by open arms, I mean it tried to embrace my car into its slimy bosom. The spectacle was not just remote; it was the kind of remote that makes the phrase 'middle of nowhere' sound like a cozy city centre. The whole place had an aura of mystery, like a scene from a horror movie, complete with the soundtrack of my anxious heartbeat. Summoning courage, I ventured to take a peek at the room. Surprisingly, the rooms were more delightful than a surprise discount on shoes. But alas, dear reader, the allure of a comfy room couldn't mask the fact that I was practically in the wilderness, miles away from the bustling charm of Munnar town. It was as if I had booked a room in Narnia, only with fewer talking animals and more eerie silence. As I hesitated at the precipice of indecision, pondering my predicament, the folks at Chithirapuram Palace, in all their remote regality, declared a firm "no" to my refund request. It was like negotiating with the Sphinx, only less enigmatic and more frustrating. The booking fee, it seemed, had embarked on a journey of its own, far from my pockets. In conclusion, if you fancy a remote rendezvous with nature, and by nature, I mean moss-covered roads and the eerie symphony of solitude, Chithirapuram Palace might just be your cup of questionable tea. For me, it was an escapade into the unknown, a comedy of errors, and a lesson in the art of choosing accommodations more wisely. So here's a word to the wise: if you like your roads straight and your refund policies fair, you might want to steer clear of this mossy mystery. Cheers to slippery adventures and lessons learned, even if they come at the price of a non-refundable booking fee!
My experience is very bad Staff is good, location is good but service is very bad every thing have to demand many times 4 to 5 times like milk powder packets , tea bags, sugar packets even toilet paper, towel, sope etc it's very cheap price They are not On AC said climad is very cold, mini freeze also not working have to use common kitchen freez there is no altranat arrangement even have to wait 30 to 45 minutes in between on breakfast table as less staff Diner was prepared 3 to 4 hours back and served with warm in the owen. The taste of food and chapati becomes completely useless. I am not recommended to stay here
Lavish Property with amazing interior. We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We were hosted by Mr. Manoj the manager and he is really a nice and friendly guy. Manoj is very caring and makes you feel like home. Breakfast is must have here. Kudos to the cook. I'll definitely visit here again along with family and friends. Thanks a lot for an amazing hospitality
Elegant property with classic room. Bathroom is a bit small. Customer friendly staff and tasty breakfast.
We went there for a family trip (7 person). We booked 3 rooms (1 with tripple occupancy). Apart from the tripple occupancy room other 2 rooms had adjacent balcony with great views. Rooms were neat, clean and spacious with all necessary amenities including a mini fridge (Please check the pictures). The surrounding is very calm with sounds of many birds - a perfect location to tranquillize your mind. Balconies are also spacious (Room no. 202) with great view. Reason for giving 4 star is food; quantity was very less for the price and we also didn't like the taste of the lunch & dinner items. Breakfast was nice (Bread, butter, jam, omlette, watermelon juice, idli/puttu, tea/coffee); but they charged extra for asking extra omlette although it was complementary. But, overall it was a peaceful stay.
The place is amazing, special thanks to the hotel manager Mr. Manoj, who ensured best service to us all the time, he was really helpful and also arranged the trip itenary. The hotel is a bungalow with 5/6 separate rooms, the place is slightly fat from Munnar town, nevertheless its perfect place to go with 2-3 families.

6 Rooms. We had all of them for a week. That was Fabulous. Own vehicle is a must. Food is a issue, but not surmountable. Beautiful Location.
