Good place for Automotive photography. You can drive down here with a little off-roading . Not a crowded place
Its one of the best place to experience the wildlife and peacful atmosphere of idukki. If you visit after march the dam water level will be very low and you can drive through the reservoir. It will be a lifetime experience. Look out for elephants there are 17 of them and 3 of it are lonely males
Nice, calm and peaceful place. Google directions only take you until the mud road, after which you will need to drive through a really rough road full of rocks to get to the dam site. En route, we met forest watchers who warned us of the presence if elephants in the vicinity. The site itself is spectacular with awesome views of the water and surrounding mountains covered in mist. We just missed elephants swimming across the water to cross to the other side.
A must visit place for all nature lovers.

Awesome rooms with balcony n heavy ambiance with a well mannered restaurant, it's having a little drive from munnar Town but still it was really worth. Especially their service and hospitality was really wonderful.
Only option to have North Indian food in Channakanal. You can order variety of food from their menu. They generally are from Rajasthan..so you can talk in Hindi.
