Good lake within the heart of the city. Its a man made lake spread around 180 acres. Once rejuvenated good water source for many. Stake holder NGO named Chinnavedampatti lake restoration Association, Kousika Neerkarangal is working hard since last 3 years to revive and restore water for this lake. This NGO is safeguarding the lake from encroachment and formed good green cover with around 2500 saplings and maintaining them regularly.
Lot of effort to protect this place , it is never getting filled up which is cause of worry .lot of birds to spot, heard some rare birds have been spotted too

Very big lake without water. Government can divert water from Bavani sugar dam. Many bird species sighted. If Government continue to neglect this lake, soon will be encroached and will spell death knell to birds
If the lake fills ground water increase gradually around that area, lake will becomes surplus water, make it possible for next monsoon. lot of small scale industries are there. Avoid water scarcity.
