Chincholi Wildlife Sanctuary - Featured Reviews (143)
Decent view. Trek takes 20 mins tops. Nothing else to do apart from looking at the view. The lake water looked dirty. Wouldn't recommend going here on a sunny day as there's very little shade once you reach the lake bank. Took around 3.5 hours from Hyderabad. Very bad roads. Would suggest visiting the waterfalls nearby along with this, unless you want to feel miserable on the trip back home.
This place has got some scenic views . Since its the starting of the monsoon season , it was even more picturesque . After you pass the main ARC , there are 3 temples on the way . You can drive until the last temple after which you need to trek down for about 10-15 minutes to reach the lake . You would be awed by the beauty surrounded around you . Nature lovers would find this spot alluring . Recommend to visit early in the morning for those perfect views . You would feel tired when climbing up , but that depends on your stamina though :)
It is a good place to visit to enjoy the nature. You wouldn't find any animals here but the forest is dense and has a lot of trees. There are 3 temples and a wonderful chariot as you enter the sanctuary gate. You can take your own vehicle inside. The good news is there is no ticket to visit this place.
Best chill out place for Hyderabad people just 130km ,one day trip, gottamgutta waterfalls is ultimate carry food and water.
A really great weekend getaway, best suited for a day trip. The trees, the trek and the lake create a perfect vibe in finding ourselves in nature. The route is situated in a remote village, it is recommended to bring own food and water. Also there are no toilets as it's a forest area, so better buckle up for a semi wild experience :)
Been to this place very recently on a Friday, we could hardly find one car with 3 members at the end point. This is around 140 km making around 3 hours of travel from hyderabad and the start point of the chincholi wildlife is the karnataka border, where the telangana border ends. The whole place looks like a isolated one where you couldn't atleast see one more person. Coming to the place, you will find an entrance gate with name Chincholi wildlife sanctuary written in English and Kannada. Then the dense forests starts to the whole left and right side of the mud road we travel. After maybe 1-2km, you will find a temple and then going forward there is a end point which has other temple and at the back of the temple you will find a way down to the river and you will have to trek the whole place to go to the down river point which would take you around 30-45 mins one way. The view from the top looked soo beautiful and river flows between the large hills making it look beautiful and the view from the river down also was pleasant and amazing, it looked wonderful with the sunset view point, felt its a worth seeing place. You will not even get a water bottle to buy there, such an isolated place it is. Please carry all your essentials required for you. I could see one family staying there near the temple, maybe they take care of that temple. I would suggest firstly, to take food from any of the dhaba on our way to chincholi and reach by afternoon have some food in the lush forest and have a trek to the river and enjoy the beautiful sunset. Secondly, if you are ready to cook your food there, then plan to go in the morning to there and make your food, eat and have fun in the forest and go to trek for a sunset view. I would definitely recommend this place for a weekend drive and you will have more fun, if you are coming with a gang over here. Very nice place. Excellent view from the top. Need to do trekking to reach near the water. Recommended to visit only in weekends. Not advisable to visit from Monday-Friday as there won't be no one coming to this place. This place is only a single season place and suggested to visit during the rainy season or after the rainy season.
Roughly 130 KM from Hyd, amazing roads you need to take Hyd/Pune Highway. Best place to spend a day with your friends and family. My humble request to Everyone please take care of the Nature we have seen people drinking/ camping and throwing waste in the water. Don't do this please. Have a safe journey. Jai Hind Jai Telangana.
