If you want to relax i suggesting this place beautiful place to visit. Don't take this place as a trip destination simply just visit there, great atmosphere . . The drive to this place can be a little tiring as it's far away from the highway. But once you get there, you'll see your tiredness vanish and a sense of freshness taking over. There is a boating facility and the place is well maintained.

Chimmony dam is one affordable adventure trip for thrissurites ,they have wild life dams ,small streams And wonderful road side Views especially during monsoon when its has refreshing jade green touc H all over.We could see deer groups and Monkeys .Elephants and wild boars are also spotted.Dam also Has a garden and a unique style construction.Forest dept is Also arranging wild Life treks,camping and boating which should Be prebooked for the best experience

A great escape from the hustle of Thrissur city. It's located about 40 km from the city and there are plenty of buses regularly plying to the dam. Do visit the earthen dam, nature interpretation centre, herbal garden, and the canteen that also sells forest produce. Although it's a treat to visit in the monsoons, summer time is the best for wildlife viewing.
