Chilanka Lake View Resort - Hotel in Alappuzha - Alappuzha, India

Nice rooms, tasty breakfast, wonderful location( hard to reach). We have to walk about 200 meters from the road. The hotel staff will help with luggage and the way is beautiful so not a problem. The location we see in the photos is true. Staff are helping and polite, they can speak fluent hindi.

Need to walk around a kilometre to reach the stay and the route is also worst. Rooms are clean and service is good but there is no fan. We booked for a lake view but we didn't get it as the AC is not working

Chilanka Lake View Resort is just beside the lake.. means you can watch the boats go by whole day! Great place to cool off! It is popular in Alleppey and the Punnamada starting point is known for the boat race. Auto wala will take Rs 200 (Oct 2023) from the Railway station to the resort. Boat jetty to the resort is 50-80 depending on which side of the canal you are. Mr Tijo is very friendly and will help you fetch your luggage from the main road to the resort if you call him in advance from the town. Because the road to the resort from the main road is not for pulling your trolley bags. He will also inform you of the various other paid facilities available. Mr Ajay, the caretaker, is also very helpful. He and the other maids there will ask you if you need anything. They serve a great breakfast and tea/coffee! No lunch/dinner. Zomato and Swiggy deliveries come in 30 mins for food orders. It was safe, cool and best place for a peaceful stay.

I quite liked the place .. right on the back waters . We got a good deal on the pricing aspect too. The overall place was neat. More like a home stay. We had the full first floor for us. So we enjoyed . There are elements that can be improved however there is some refurbishing work going on so hopefully the minor complaints that we had could be resolved. Their service was good.

The balcony view rooms are wonderful in this resort. Food is Good. Room ambience, AC is average. U can watch the boats from morning to evening in the balcony available rooms,which is best.

Amazing experience, clean &new rooms, good services, they also provide sikhara backwater rides from the resort it self. Swiggy/zomata available.
