Near Amravati Bus Station there is a small hill called Shivtekdi or Maltekdi. Very little information about Maltekdi is available on the internet The kings of Amravati in ancient times had a watch tower on this hill. Due to this, the enemies coming from afar and their soldiers were visible to the king's soldiers and they used to prepare their soldiers for battle. At the time of the spread of door darshan in the 19th century, the first tower was installed in Amravati. There is a big idol of Shivaji Maharaj sitting on a horse on this Shivtekdi, there is one darga.Amravati Municipal Corporation emphasized on the redevelopment of Shivtekdi.So it progressed and a footpath was made here on which people could come for a walk every morning and evening.A lot of trees were planted there along with beautification. After seeing the colorful leaves and flowers of different colors of those trees, people feel very happy. A brisk walk up this hill will give you a lot of sweat and a good workout. The hill was built with outdoor games for children to play and open jim for the outdoors exercise of adults as well as different types of landscape. The redevelopment of this place has been well equipped and beautified keeping in mind that people of all ages should be able to use it to the maximum and everyone should be able to exercise and have fun.I am uploading some photos of this place so you can get an idea of the development and beauty of this place so check out those photos and videos. At one spot there is a stone sticking out of the fencing and the stone is decorated in the color of a snake's head and from a distance it looks like a real snake is peeking its head out. What precautions should we take? You can come here for weekend walk or morning and evening and any day or any day of the week. If you come here, you can buy food or drink from the small shopkeepers here but be careful that you don't want to do any kind of plastic waste pollution here. Walk around the place, exercise, enjoy and please take care to keep the place clean.So friends definitely come to visit the beautiful Maltekdi Shivtekdi and guide and suggest your friends to come here too.
Beautiful place and hill at the centre of city. You can practice of hiking. Also it has earthen track. Also at backside of maltekadi is garden and open theatre. No fees here except for parking. And atmosphere is really healthy and fresh. View of city at night is really beautiful.
Beautiful place. Provided with jogging track and exercise equipments for both men and women. Nice place to sit and meditate. Youngsters follows daily running rituals here. A musical program is held on every Sunday. Since there is no alternative and comfortable options for physically disabled persons, they may find it difficult to get to the peak spot. Good sitting arrangment and sufficient parking place. Although, there seem to be no arrangements for morgue and latrine. Drinking water is provided at the front side entrance.
One of the best places for walks and nature enjoyment. The location is clean and tidy. Lots of trees and birds can be seen there. Corporation is doing its best job at keeping it without clutter. The place is a good spot for health enthusiasts. After a wonderful walk you can enjoy loads of health juices from multiple vendors outside the Tekdi.

A paradise for people who are into physical fitness. Also, known as Shivtekdi, it's a small hill, developed into joggers park. People start their fitness routines from 4:30 am everyday. The facility is equipped with different stretching and exercising equipments seperately for men and women. A running/walking track is developed to climb the hill. There's a dedicated place for yoga sessions at the top, while casual seating area as well. Seating arrangements are provided in between the track for having rest from time to time. At the centre of the top there's a big statue of Shivaji Maharaj riding his horse. A darga is also there at the top for devotees. Various programs are held from time to time at the top of Maltekdi.
