Very nicely developed area. Beautiful statue of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is placed very much at centre of the lake. Nicely maintained garden around Lake is added attraction. if ferry boat & visit to statue started on chargeable basis will be good for visitors. Can be fund raising proposal for further development & maintainance. Evening lighting is also very good. Authorities must repair & start lesar show again.

This statue is adding special meaning to Katraj Lake. This statue is situated in the middle of a lake on a small wooded island and quite a pleasant place. You have to take a boat to reach the place. It is a pretty the island is not full of trees though there a few. The lake is surrounded by a garden which is used by local populace for their morning walks. The path is horse shoe shaped and completely sheltered by trees. In the morning when the breeze is on it is almost heaven. No wonder it is quite popular...
