Chhatrapati Tararani was the widow of chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's younger son, Rajaram Maharaj. She was the founder of the Karveer kingdom and she established the capital of the Maratha Empire at Panhala which was later shifted to Kolhapur. Only the concern is food carts and vendors encroachments entering into roads, big Parking issues in the city overall. no planning seen for parking slots made by authorities irrespective of a famous tourist city. Cleanliness is again a big issue, arrogance of auto drivers near B. Stop, rly station is an all time unfocused and unresolved issue. One has to deal very carefully here.

Statue is very good and reminiscent of Medieval history of Kolhapur. However, the place is very crowded during day time. Good time to visit is night time.
