Chhatardi Bhuj - Historical place in Bhuj - Kachchh, India

ASI monument. Entry free. Sprawling lawn with trees and extensive span of archaeological ruins. All the staircases start from east. Some renovations observed after earthquake. Water bodies surround the area. Parking on the road.

ABOUT: * This was constructed in 18th century. * Also known as Royal Chhatris or Cenotaphs, these are basically monuments dedicated to the lives of warrior Rajput rulers of the Kutch. * Most of the part got ruined due to earthquake in 2001. CHARGES: * There are no charges. How to reach: This is 1 km from Harmirsar Lake, so you can go by walking or you can take Auto. If you want to learn about history you can visit here. Also, if you want to click some good pictures you can visit.

Chahatedi is located in bhuj nearby hamirsar lake. This place is Smadhi sthal of royal families of kutch and also there is some temples. This place badly damaged by 2001 earthquake so this site under restoration. But still we can visit this place. No fees for entry. There is small garden so you can spend some time. This place is good if you are interested in photography and historical architecture.

- complete name of the place is "Rao Lakkha Chatri" - most of the local people just know the place for it's old pond - It's an 18th Century monument where Rao Lakkha's 15 wives followed Sati Pratha after his death - 15 chattaris were built for them - most of them have now collapsed - this place also has some ancient temples (which are also not in use due to there conditions) - overall a nice place for history lovers

This place is besides the Lake where there are many attractions what I witnessed is that it's a must visit place one need to be patient and understand what exactly happened there, that place witnessed the Sati by 15 of his queen at that place. It is not that popular among tourists but still I cherished that place.

Good place to visit for photography. Basically it is a cremation of king and queen place. It got destroyed in earthquake and some of the structures are intact. Architecture is awesome and very nice. You can see beautiful stone carving. Rarely you can see such carvings. Very nice place. Must visit in bhuj. It take half an hour to one hour for visit .

This historical place is amazing and free. Good place to visit Sunrise. Closes on 6 PM. Place is clean. Written history and practical history is available. This place is little dusty, depending on crowd. No Shops are available around this place for eating/drinking, you have to go to mainroad. Loved this place.
