Cheruchakkichola Waterfalls & Check Dam - Tourist attraction in Chittanda - Thrissur, India

Its a must vist place in this locality. Which enables you to explore adventuristic 20-30 minutes of trekking to reach the waterfall at the top of the hill. Its more like three layered structure : at the top, there is a small check dam which provides a wide are for swimming and the excess overflow of water in that small dam makes up a big water fall (a few meters away from the dam) which is in the second layer as well as the third layer act a platform to enjoy the water fall. Clam and peaceful palce . Less amenities available. From the parking space you have to walk more than one kilometer to the check dam and falls. Fells like there will be no falls at summer. Walk through the forest route is so relaxing. Better to visit at rainy season.

Nice place for one day tour planners. You can enjoy trucking through many small waterfalls and finally we will reach in a dam. You can take a bath over there only for people who know swimming. Be alert always especially kids there would no securities available moreover it's a restricted area

Amazing offbeat destination, great during or post monsoon! Can be accessed through two paths - 1) Access from bottom of falls and trek to top and reach check dam 2) Reach to top directly to check dam. Prefer Path(1) so you can view the cascaded flow of water and experience multiple waterfalls! Very nice trek ~1+ km through forest you will love it !

A good place to spend a few hours. Need to walk around 1km from the road to reach the chola. The water is clean. One can find a few empty plastic bottles around. Try to avoid bring plastic to preserve such places. It is also a nice place to take a shower. We went during summer and the water flow was not there.

A small waterfall but a peaceful one too. The reservoir at the top and the waterfall is at the bottom. You have to walk around 400 metres through the forest to reach the Chola. The Chola is worth a visit if there's a lot of water. So rainy days are the best to visit the place. Peaceful and Beautiful forest too. Never miss Cheruchakkichola at rainy season.
