It is located in Kodungallur town which is 32km from Kochi (Ernakulam) ,you can have Kerala govt bus from Jetty Boat Road in Kochi for Kodungallur. Time it will take around 1 hour 15 mintues and you can say to your driver to stop near to Cheraman masjid. Nearest railway station is Aluva from where you can have bus to reach here,but I will suggest from Kochi. Masjid is in very peaceful as usual , infrastructure is what you wish to see ,regular maintenance is going on. It is on road and you can get return bus from outside the mosque. Bus fare will be around 50 ,Non Ac . You will be happy to visit and witness the first ever mosque in India. No ticket,it will be free. Hit like if you feel worth describing.

There is tomb of habeeb ibu Malik and his wife khumariya (son of Malik ibnu dhinar) inside this masjid.there is a beautiful lamp inside the masjid which was used before coming of electricity.now new masjid will come in underground and this old masjid will keep in traditional style.it is located by the side of Cochin highway. About 30-40km from cochin .a museum is situated inside the compount where u can get information about the masjid
