Chepauk - Train station in Chennai - Chennai, India

Amazing way to get to chepauk stadium . It is so easy to travel to the stadium .. from velachery it takes about 25 mins. Very convenient and cheappppp.. nice and convenient . Big thumbs up . Wish they can keep the station clean ... and hope all the elevators / escalators work . Half the time , nothing works and elderly people have tough time to walk up the stairs. I thought of giving 3 stars but the convenience and price forced me to give a 4 star. Kudos to the government for extending railways to all these important places in chennai

Not very crowded! Except during the rush hours from morning 8 to 10 and evening 7 to 10. The station is maintained in the most pathetic way with no proper escalator or even a full time working elevator. There is often a queue at the ticketing counter and the automatic ticketing machine is always out of order. The restroom is a paid one which is in a very filthy state. The building structure especially in the insides are crumbling and there are numerous leaks noticed everywhere.

The station is decently maintained, and is one of the stations of the Chennai Beach to Velachery line. Cheap and best option to reach most parts of the city.

This location is near to Marina beach .Next to this station is international cricket stadium called Chidambaram Stadium. You can get local trains upto Velachery directly from here. If you are going towards Tambaram then you have to change another train at Park station. Rush is generally not there in this station.

parking facilities not free,no water facility , only local train , lift@ escalator working conditions always both sides, cricket match time dam crowd and near university of Madra walkable distance beach also but I anticipated that this is worst beach in chennai

Local Railway station but life line of the city. Many people travelling though this daily for their livelihood. Children used to go school using local trains. Building is old and not maintained. Public amenities are average Condition of train is fine Speed of train is also fine Price is very cheap....easily affordable by common man. But after travelling via this local train you will feel good because you will see the common man of India.

Very much famous station in the velachery route because of the Stadium near to it. But the maintenance is very much poor. Lot of maintenance needed to be done for parking,restrooms,waiting areas since it is very much essential stadium for passengers during the MATCH DAYS ON CHEAPUK. Other countries people will also come for chepauk stations during match time so please concentrate on the maintenance and keep our station clean ALSO KEEP INDIA CLEAN

Well maintained local train station. Near to Chennai cricket stadium and beach. Usually crowed but people required guidance for near destination. Railway protection force is lack for security reasons.
