Chintadripet Railway Station is close to Central Railway Station (~2.5kms) Many Buses are available from Central Railway Station (GH Hospital side) to Chintadripet Railway Station. To go upto Velachery we have to pick the train from here apart from beach station from central. The subway to reach this station is not maintained clean. Very nasty smell.
Park Town is a Local train station also often claaed as Chennai Park Town Railway Station. It is near the Chennai Central Railway Station as well as the Central Metro Station. Local trains are available every 15 minutes or so.
Small station, cleanliness is quite maintained but the sewage water nearby creates a foul smell which is the downside of it.
Station is close to Chennai central. Railway station for local trains. Although very close to Chennai Central railway station the route is confusing if you are visiting for the first time. Best to ask the help of locals rather than using google maps atleast that is my experience.
Park town station is for Chennai beach to Velachery train's. High frequency in peak hours. Park station is walkable distance from here. PF 2 is towards velachery and PF 1 is towards Chennai Beach (it's just a name , there won't be Beach next to it). Train s start from 4:10 AM from Beach station till 11:10 PM from velachery station.
You can go directly to Velachery and Chennai Beach from this station.If you are going to Tambaram then you have to go to Park station which is in walkable distance from Park town. Remember Park Town and Park station are different railway stations but both are in close proximity (walkable distance)
