Chemtaburu Pahar (2,293 ft), the highest peak of southern West Bengal,khamar - Tourist attraction in Panrri - Purulia, India

Explored this beautiful chemtaburu trek last month. Generally considered a challenging route. This trail is great for birding, hiking, and walking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring.

Highest peak of the South Bengal. Very difficult to climb up. Must take a local guide (Rs300 to Rs500). From the top you can see the whole ajodhya range, khairabera dam cum eco resort. Marvellous place for hikers.

Climbing this hill is an awesome experience! The fatigue, challenge, fear and at last the view from the top will be once in a lifetime experience. Take help of locals to climb this hill.

Chemtaburu is now highest peak of ayoddha Renge instated of gorgaburu. Altitude of chemtaburu is 2293 ft. You can reach the top of chemtaburu by trekking from muravasa dam or khayrabera dam. But I think the muravasa side is too easy to trek. From purulia junction you have to take local train for jhalida. Then booked auto for pardi village. You can stay here by pitching a tent. But you have to hire a local person for Safety for local information and trek route.

Chemtu hill, the highest peak of Purulia district as well as the ajodhya hill range, is situated just beside the famous Khairabera dam. To reach that place, we have to take the Baghmundi Jhalda highway. From baghmundi side, we have to take right turn from Koreng to take the road to Chemtu hill. The surrounding is covered with lush greenery and the bald peak looks like a gramd pa among other green jubilant hillocks. It was a dark cloud floating over chemtu hill and a sudden gush of rain made our trip shorter. But the time we spent there was beautiful and pleasant.
