Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park - Akola Shivaji Park which is situated in the Deshmukh Peth area is the largest park in Akola. It is of historical and cultural value because of the political and social gatherings it has witnessed and founded in 1964. This park governed and operated by Akola Municipal Corporation. The walkway area is approx 1 kilometres and it is crowded with local walkers. The most prominent attraction to the park is the statue of Shivaji Maharaj on the center, The walkway is lined with huge rain trees. The park is named after the legendary Warrior King of the Region, Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji. The area which is around 4 acres is busy with young kids and other. Various attractions are spread over the grounds. This is like Playground for kids.
It is under development stage for a quite long time. Hope the public leaders concerned will complete the work. There is good scope for better for mentainance by the gardener employed here.

Its very nice park..slowly slowly developing by Akola Mahanagarpalika I heared from many of old people They were said that the statue of "CHATRAPATI SHIVAJI MAHARAJ" Is of "ASHTDHATU" And in 90's there are only 4-5 statue in Maharashtra And from that 4 statue our " SHIVAJI PARK" has one its make me feel proud to be "MARATHA"...
