CHARPAI THE DHABA - Restaurant in Kajlana, Indore - Indore, India

This place is on Indore-Ujjain road. This review is for day time visit. Initial look was good, having nice seating arrangement. Atmosphere was also good with soft music playing on speaker, but i come to know they have live music in night time. The food was average in taste and not matched with the rates. Starter was horrible in taste, it was completely waste, but when informed they offered replacement but i didn't opted. They also have tea stall snacks stall for highway travelers. Toilets are available, parking is also available here.

I had great dining experience at Charpai the dhaba located on the Ujjain-indore highway. Charpai Has a good ambiance with traditional Indian decor and comfortable seating on charpais. The restaurant offers a live barbeque experience. The fod is delicious, authentic and diverse. From the barbeque to the main course and desserts, each dish was well prepared and delicious.

Visited this place for a lunch during Ujjain visit. This place is on Ujjain Indore road. We tried sweet corn soup and munchow soup, veg manchurian dry along with Paneer Punjabi and Lachcha paratha. Veg manchurian was good in taste. Sweet corn soup was also good, full of veggies and corn flour. Paneer Punjabi was special dish on that day tastes very good with lachcha paratha. We also, tried dal rice which was good in taste. Service is bit slow here. Also, rates are quite high. But overall, good option for some good veg food.

The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall positive atmosphere. The staff at Charpai Dhaba ensures you feel right at home, making the dining experience truly enjoyable.

Don't get fooled by the ambiance of this place. This is a good looking place with disappointing food. If you only want to enjoy a long drive and seat at an open space with your kids to have an open area then it's a good place. But if you are a foodie and want to have tasty food them don't visit there. They are overpriced in every aspect and the quantity and quality both are not good in any type of food items. We ordered honey chilli potato, sheekh kabab and masala papad for starters. And surprisingly nothing was good from these options. The masala given for 4 papad was not sufficient. The kabab were raw and undercooked. Honey chilli potato was just like fries tossed with Schezwan Sauce or something similar. In the main course we ordered Sev Tamatar and Paneer Angara. I don't understand how nothing of the cooked food can have no taste. The paneer angara was only spicy and no other taste. Sev tamatar was tasteless. Overall go there only to enjoy ambience. But there are many other better options with good ambience and good food as well.

Charpai is the amazing place to have food, beverages and dessert as the place is located on the highway so with the food we can enjoy long drive also,the taste of all the food was amazing and the hospitality we received from them was amazing.

Best Place to Hangout with Friends & Family. Charpaai Dhaba has a Playing Area for Kids, open area dining & Live music is a special thing for the visitors.
