Had a great time in charkhole resort. What to say about this property..the location, the service everything was perfect. The behaviour of Mr Mukherjee (the owner) was so humble. You can see the perfect sunrise with kanchanjangha view. Best place to stay...

Had a terrible 3 nights in this "resort" last week, my advice is to stay away from this place. I was promised a wonderful room but the room they had booked for me had its window panes broken and torn bedsheet/pillow covers. Am I supposed to see the grand view through a broken window? When we went to the dining area, we were shocked to find cockroaches everywhere, they served us rotis in a basket from which 8-9 cockroaches emerged. The dining room was filthy, looks like they don't clean the place at all, the carpets were horrible. Though the caretakers/food were nice, the owner is very rude, they also charged me extra on high season rates when the "resort" was nearly empty! Don't fall for this scam!

One of the best stays I've ever had in North Bengal. Great view from Room 4B. The food was good and affordable. If you're looking for a quiet and calm vacation with your partner where you can just sit and relax, this is the place. Although the night is always great, the days are better if there's a clear sky from the viewpoint. Will visit again soon. The only negative is the lack of ventilation in the room.

#charkholeresort This is one we call a PATHETIC AND DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE. We have booked the resort, the entire payment was made well in advance, and though there is an Ala Carte option(some guests have confirmed the same), we were OUTCASTED FROM IT. We were included in their package system as per the WILL AND FANCY OF THE MANAGER AND THE OWNER. AND GUESS WHAT........... WE WERE DENIED FROM FOOD. On Saturday, we were served only 5 pieces of Paneer for 2 persons (the food bill was 700 per person per day) On Sunday, other guests were having 4 bowls of chicken and 3 eggs per head but we were restricted from having an extra piece of fish. After check-in we were restricted from using the WATER FOR 1 HOUR. BEFORE SERVING US FRENCH FRIES FOR SNACKS, THEY WERE COUNTING AND 6 PIECES OF THE SAME WAS ALLOTED FOR US PER HEAD. One bisleri bottle was provided which was TAMPERED. IF ASKING FOR TEA IN THE EVENING, IT WAS TOLD TO US THAT STAFFS ARE TAKING REST. SO NO TEA AND THE CHERRY ON THE CAKE IS THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE OWNER AND THE MANAGER. WE HAD BEEN IN VERY REMOTE LOCATIONS BEFORE, MANY HOTELS BEFORE BUT THIS IS SOMETHING NEW.... WHERE THE GUESTS ARE DENIED FROM FOOD. EVEN IF WE ARE OFFERING EXTRA MONEY THEY ARE NOT SERVING US THOUGH SERVING THEIR Preferred BOARDERS. ME ALONG WITH MY HUSBAND,5 YEAR OLD KID, AGED PARENTS WERE PRACTICALLY OUT OF FOOD FOR 2 LONG DAYS. This is the best resort on charkhol ..and situated in the top of charkhol village. Worthy in all terms. But there are other resort as well..do chek them out as well. All are good.

Location awasome, ambiance very good, hospitality good,rooms so so. But it is requested to all please come fill nature. And the best point is they are going through customer reviews.

Amazing location and view from the resort. Have to climb quite a few steps to reach to the cottages. Overall had a pleasant stay. Food served was also decent. Stayed for 2 nights but had a hard luck in getting the mesmerizing view from the resort.

The location of the resort is too good and there is no problem which you will face from the people working in the resort ,one of the helping hand named mr rai(not sure about the name) was so helpful ,overall the service from resort was good ,the only recommendation I would give it would be a plus point from the resort end if utensils in which foods were served would be more clean . I had a PATHETIC experience regarding the agency of drivers the resort authority provided us as we were not having a prebooked car with us, DONT BOOK CAR FROM CHARKHOL THE WHOLE PROCESS IS A SCAM, prebook the car from your end before reaching there ,I was harassed so much because of the broker of this driving agency (mr Bimal Gurung) ,Before booking the car I have clearly mentioned mr Bimal about my itinerary and the time in which I needed the car, the driver came earlier than the scheduled time which I mentioned very clearly when i booked the car,but as we initiated our journey the driver mentioned that he was not informed about the alloted time and neither about the destinations where we needed a break between charkhol and Siliguri about which I had mentioned Mr Bimal in the phone call earlier , BEING A PATIENT I WAS HARASSED so much as the driver dropped us 20km away from the place where he was supposed to drop us and when i tried to reach out Mr Bimal gurung(the broker of cars provided from charkhol) he denied everything and his behaviour was inhuman, I had to spend extra amount of money for reaching my ultimate destination as I had to book another car,I have paid the full money to mr Bimal Gurung by gpay today as there was no network yesterday inspite of this nonsense approach from him, guests kindly don't book car from this brokers of charkhol and resort authority you are requested to give guests numbers of car rentals which are authentic as guests rely on your opinions , the whole experience was destroyed due to this car rental system whose number was provided by the resort initially when I wanted to book a car from outside then resort authorities told me the car broker agency of charkhol will create a nuisance if i don't book car from this agency, tourists think twice regarding the booking of car if you don't have a personal one with you Resort authority was this the behaviour I deserved inspite of mentioning everything earlier ?waste of money and also mental peace .i have attached the picture of the driver so that no other guests ever fall in this scam.
