I love this Place. I went there from my childhood. I really love this, basically Saturday Shani Puja shinni which is really tasty . Sometimes I visit this place on the weekend.
It is a decent place to offer prayers to Lord Shiva. The congregation that comes here is also good. The trust which manages this temple is sincere and well-respected by locals. The cleanliness of the temple is impeccable, always! I've seen many people from faraway places come here to offer prayers; some even stay for a very long time! In all these three decades I've been living near this Mandir, I've never heard a single indecent or untoward incident that has taken place here. That's quite an achievement giving the size of the crowd that frequents this place on several festivals! That said, I have a serious complaint about this place. Most of the time I've seen this temple, it was surrounded by a parapet wall of about three feet height. That gave this temple an open-to-all character that was befitting the nature of the temple. But about a decade ago, the authorities decided to enclose it by a 6-feet-high wall, and a congregation hall was constructed on the open space that was available on the courtyard of the temple. As a result, it looks more like a fort than a temple, at least to my eyes. A religious place, to my mind, should have an open-to-all feel to it. That was the case with the temple most of the time. I do not know what impelled the authorities to make such a change in the structure of the temple, but now it feels like it is closed, or exclusive, or even disconnected from society. That is only why I've given it three stars on the ratings here.
Nice mandirs (a couple of temples of Lord Shiva), not so crowded. Situated beside an enough wide road.
Very peaceful place and in evening females are taught yoga in the temple premices. Open from about 8 am to 8 pm(approx). The temple celebrates many holi occasion from time to time.
