A Must visit for History Buffs. The Chapel of St. Catherine or Chapel of Santa Catarinais part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site in India - "Churches and Convents of Goa". It is located in the same campus as the Church of St Francis of Assissi and the Se Cathedral. It is a site of religious, cultural and historical significance. A must visit for History Buffs. The Chapel is surrounded by hedges and a small but well-maintained garden. Casual visitors to the world heritage complex might not notice it at all. However, this Chapel has historic significance attached to it and has a separate description stone of its own. The structure itself is quite plain, both from outside and inside, unlike the architecture-heavy monuments surrounding it. A small church near the church of st.Francis built by Albuquerque. This was said to be built at the door of the muslim gate of Goa. There is nothing inside bit can glimpse around the church for its architecture and step well near by.
The chapel is close to the Bom Basilica Church. This is very secluded and quiet. There wasn't any crowd nor people there. The church os very old and looks a bit creepy. We entered the chirch but it wasn't illuminated and there wasn't any lighting and there were many bats in the church which began flying once we entered by which we got scared and didn't explore the place deeply. The outside is very nice and good for clicking pics.
Small chapel, close to the archeological museum. Few people visit here. The chapel itself is very beautiful.
A quiet little place in the church campus, not crowded. Some of the detailing on the wooden doors is beautiful and the coffers of the ceiling of the altar are note-worthy. Although most of the chapel is empty, it does offer a nice photo spot.

A quaint lil chapel built in 1510 to commemorate Afonso De Albuquerque's entry to the city on St Catherine's Day.
Good place may be not so much being mentioned but history shouts loud itself here. quiet place and good to get some clicks.

Beautiful archway. Couldn't understand the statue, a woman with sword and a man lying at her feet. The plaque says that it is St. Catherine but it doesn't explain about the bearded man at her feet. Please tell me if someone knows. Thank you.
