It's a small railway station but still many trains have a halt. The premises is totally clean and the infrastructure is very well maintained. The auto stand is located just outside the railway station. The scenery around the station is awesome.

Channarayapatna is taluka head quarter in Hassan District. It is well connected by road. It is on the way BENGALURU to Mangaluru highway. Also connected to Mysuru and Arsikere, Tiptur. Sravanabelagola is very near 10 kms where world famous Bahubali monolithic 58 feet tall single stone statue situated. Sacred place for Jain community.
This is a small railway station having 2 platforms. Cleanliness is maintained here . Usually not that much crowded. U can't get any food stuffs over there .
