Channarayana Durga is an absolute gem for adventure seekers and nature lovers. The steep rock climb adds an exciting challenge to the trek, making it a memorable experience. The panoramic views from the top are absolutely stunning, offering a unique perspective of the surrounding landscape. A kind and patient dog guided me from the parking lot to the hilltop and back. This canine companion stayed with me throughout the trek, displaying remarkable loyalty and companionship. Their presence added a unique charm to the entire experience, turning a memorable trek into an unforgettable one. The bond forged with this four-legged guide is a testament to the incredible connections we can make in the most unexpected of places. The trek is moderately challenging, so make sure to wear sturdy footwear and carry enough water. It's advisable to go with a guide or as part of an organized group, especially if you're not experienced in such terrain. Overall, Channarayana Durga is a must-visit destination for those seeking adventure and a deeper connection with nature and history. Highly recommended!

Nearly 2 hours drive from Nelamangala and near Madhugiri .. It takes nearly 2 hours to reach the summit/Top, the first half of the trek is a steep slope and not advisable to trek during rain as it becomes more slippery. There is no dedicated parking lot but you can park anywhere under the shades in the village. Once you reach the top you will get to the amazing for and also the breathtaking view of other hills (including Madhugiri peak)

Beautiful place. Must be carful when it's rains to climb or get down as granite rock of fort will be slippery. It's better to trek with bare foot to keep traction

Good trek on mid difficulty level. Don't visit when it's raining as the rock surface will be slippery.

One of the tough treck around Bangalore. For first half, it is really steep. There is just rock without any support. Better to avoid when it's raining as it will be slippery. The lake in between is beautiful and calming. You will see many fishes. On top there isn't much but view is worth it.

Had a wonderful trekking experience to Channarayana Fort. One of my best, so to say. It's bit confusing to find the starting point, but locals are very helpful. I would rate the complexity as medium. Start very early or choose a cloudy day (but strictly avoid during rains). Unknown to most, the overall ascent will take about 1 to 2 hours, depending upon the individual. More than 50% of the trek is through monolith rocks, at about 45deg incline. Need to exercise extreme caution while coming down. Keep water, food (fruits, glucose, energy bars etc), cap, sun glasses with you. If you find difficulties with shoes, you can walk bare foot. Won't advise for kids below 12 years. There is a Old Ganesha temple just before the fort. The nearby pond makes it look beautiful. On the way and atop you'll find ruins of the fort. There is some history associated with this place that dates back to some 500 years. A must visit for trekkers, in and around Bangalore.

Its a very good place for sunrise trek with your friends. trek can take 2-3 hours to climb based on the path you choose. there are 3 ways to get to the top. one is easy other is moderate and another is difficult. you can choose your trek train based upon your interest. The arrows shown on the rocks are easy trek routes so if you want little difficult trek you can explore other paths by your own. Try to carry some food its a good place for picnic and don't litter please carry your trash back and dispose in proper place. Please please avoid sculpting your names on the walls.

A trek worth the adventure and the breathless view! The adorning ranges of hills, lakes and a cloudy sky. The view from the peak is sure an eye candy. The trek is moderate and is difficult in some part of the climb which is steep. Avoid going to this trek on rainy days as it's really slippery during rain. The best day to visit this peak is on a partly cloudy day. While descending also the steep part is hard to climb down so make sure one has proper support. Carry adequate water. Nearby to the fort ruins is a small lake ideal for relaxation during the trek. The locals say crocodiles live there but we couldn't spot any. It's a trek worth remembering. Cheers!
