This is an important station in the Kharagpur-Bishnupur route. It lies between Salboni and Garbeta. Asia's largest film city Prayag (now scrapped) is situated here. This station comes under the Amrit Bharat scheme of the Central Government. Hence, there is a lot of development in this railway station, we are about to see, in coming years.
It's a small station in midnapore district which is in between midnapore and bankura station. Most of the trains halt here. The Footover bridge is at very high quite difficult to climb for the older people. The station is nice and clean. All other facilities are available here. An escalator for the station is needed at an urgent basis.
It is nice place. Different types of advantages anyone can get here. Transportation system is doubtlessly very good.Railway station and Central Bus stand are combined. School, College, Hospital, Block office, BLRO office, hotel, resturant etc. Is situated here.
I Love Chandrakona Road. It's an awesome place.
Only 10 min walking distance from bus stand. Toto and rickshaw are also available @ Rs 10 only.. Railway run cycle and motor cycle stand present... Platform is extended and adequately clean.. A tea stall and a sweet stall present... But train timing is disappointing... Very inadequate number of local and passengers trains available.. only Rupasi Bangla, Purulia Exp, Aranyak Exp, Rajyarani Exp, and Shiromoni Passenger can connect you with kolkata... In the evening there are very few passengers.... Platform become very lonely and seems to be insecured.....
THIS STATION IS UNDER S.E.R KHRAGPUR DIVISION OF INDIAN RAILWAY. LOCAL AND ERPRESS TRAIN ARE STOPGE HERE FOR TRAVEL MIDNAPORE,KHRAGPUR,ADRA ,HOWRAH THERE IS A AMMUSEMENT PARK SITUATED JUST 1.5 KM FROM THE STATION, USUALLY NAME AS CHANDRAKONA PARK.
Small rural railway station... quiet and not crowded...toto available from station, nearest bus stand is a little far, around 1km... there's a famous park not far from the station. There's sheltered waiting room for bad weather. Most express trains in this root has stoppage here.
First time I visited Station are very clean cdgr are not important station south eastern railway zone just 1 toilet and 1 food stall Avil Here
