Chandhana Residency's - Hotel in Visakhapatnam - Visakhapatanam, India

From outside all hotels looks cool here. The problem is when you will go inside. The rooms , service, maintenance everything very bad and this hotel also fall in this category. At afternoon we reached so do not have much intention to explore and find best suitable hotel cause mostly on off season they were charging very high. We asked for AC room and they told that will be given at 8pm , till then you can take non AC and we agreed on charges what the person behind the desk asked for. The room was not good but we thought for 1hr we will manage and then out for travel then shift to AC room at night. When we get back to hotel the person behind the desk changed and he asked for extra money even after a small argument he confirmed on phone with the previous shift person. Then in the name of AC room then purposefully provided again a non AC room which I found when entered room and shocked. When get back to the reception desk the answer of the person is : there's a window so air will pass !!! And he was charging AC room cost with that non AC room After a long argument we decided to leave the day after morning. Here's some photos attached. Also seen they were harassing other visitors as well. I think this is enough to describe the hotels other facilities and services.

Better hotels than many others. They give 24 hours stay irrespective of what time you come in. That is a great help for people who come at odd times

Chandana residency is in best location near railway. From there many thing are near by like hospital, Bus stand, diamond park and many more. There staff are so good polit behaviour.if you plan to go vizag then you can choose this residency.

Everything is average. Location is great. Can walk from rly stn or bus stand.

Rooms was very dirty, not even close to the level of cleanliness shown in the pictures Room and bathroom had ungodly amount of mosquitoes Bedsheets were dirty, curtains and blanket had holes in them The window was broken Staff was very unhelpful, didn't even provide us with AllOut for the mosquitoes.

Good atmosphere and budget friendly. You can get facilities at mid range in a mid range hotel. But it is sufficient

In vishakhapatnam, first time I felt guilty to book such hotels at this much price,, very worst feeling while entering inside the room- it's like pathetic completely and garbage area behind the roomShown images in Ibibo and actual completely opposite

I needed a place to crash for the night while visiting Vizag and was in search of a budget hotel near to the Vizag railway station. I then came across this hotel while searching online and looking at the reviews, it seemed like a decent one. However, it happened to be one of my terrible stays ever. I stayed at this hotel on 25th Jan 2020 for just a day (a night rather). Firstly, the check-in procedure was horrible and time consuming. They made me wait like almost half an hour taking the photograph of myself and my Aadhaar card. Then, unlike in any other hotels, they told me I would get an OTP in my mobile number and I would need to provide that for the check-in. I was reluctant to provide the OTP considering all the scams happening around but I eventually provided that to avoid the pain. On top of that, I was not given back my Aadhar card and the receptionist told me that would be returned only at the time of check-out. This was something I never experienced in any hotel check-ins ever. Normally, they would take the copy of the ID proof and then return the document, but what I experienced was quite unusual. I felt the entire process quite fishy and called Makemytrip (MMT) customer care to check if everything is genuine - Me being asked for OTP and my Aadhaar card not being returned. After checking, MMT customer care confirmed that this is their standard process, which I found pretty weird and yeah I lost another half and hour on reaching out to MMT and getting back their response, not to mention the frustration and apprehensions. So, big zero for their hassle full check-in. Moreover, I don't know why most of the guys were continuously staring at me and my wife in the hotel lobby as if we were aliens. I don't know if they do the same to every customers but I found it to be extremely cringy, irritating and creepy. I did not tell anything to anyone but I made up my mind that I am never gonna stay at this hotel ever again if I happen to visit Vizag again. Next issue was with the dirty bed sheet and blanket. I would have still convinced myself if it was only dirty. There were also small bugs on those sheets and blankets which were biting now and then causing mild allergic reactions to my wife. We then used our own outfits as bedsheets to cope with this issue. Even the bathroom was not that clean but we managed somehow. There were no any amenities worth mentioning, everything was pretty basic. To add fuel to the fire, while checking out, a guy came to me and asked for the tip. I just lashed out at him and questioned back for what service he was asking me for the tip? Was not the tariff I paid more than enough for the pathetic service like that. Only good thing about the hotel is it's around 1.5 kms (20 mins walk) from the Vizag train station. But there are many hotels available in that area, so make your choice wisely.
