Beautiful & unique railway station of Hoogly, West Bengal, India. This is a very important station of the city of love Chandannagar. This railway station situated betweeen Hoogly railway station and Bhadreshwarer railway station. Nearest Junctions are Bandel railway Station (Junction) and Sheoraphuly Railway Station (Junction). This station got too much crowded during Chandannagar Jagadhatttri Pujo or Puja. Here, Chandannagar Stand Road is one of the most popular place of the city, which is a riverside road. The station contains 3 platforms and 3 railway tracks.

From Kalyani we wear returning home via Delhi road where we decided to visit Chandannagar city on our way, hence we took left turn to Bhola road. Reset destination to one Ganga Ghat, which shows 8 km from Delhi road. On our way we got Chandannagar station as we went inside a underpass under the railway tracks. Station area was quite above than the road, and is visible from road as well. Two exit ways from two different platform directly coming on the road. Underpass looked two way but returning when was closed due to water lake hence all vehicles are coming through a single narrow lane where station exit gate was there as well hands making the area quite congested.

Very clean station. Nice place. 2km away from chandannagar stand ghat and the sacred heart church

Station is relatively clean considering the footfall. Services were all running. Toilets need to better. Also the stairs down the toto stand needs to repaired. Trains were surprisingly on time. Announcements were routine and well heard. Plenty of seating arrangements and platforms are wide to handle large crowd.

Chandannagar is my favorite place and I travel to this station very often. The station is very clean, has three platforms, cold water system. There is a female and male waiting room. The walls of the station have pictures of great men like Rabindranath Tagore and Swami Vivekananda. And there are photographs and drawings of the Jora Ghats at Chandannagar.

Jaggadatri Puja Carnival. The best lighting procession. Great experience.
