Chandaka Forest is an absolute gem in Bhubaneswar! I can't give it anything less than 5 stars. The lush greenery, diverse wildlife, and serene ambiance make it a perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The well-maintained trails and friendly staff add to the overall experience. It's a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Well I walked down the forest for almost 2 hours...entry fee is 40INR/person...better to come in group and book the safari : 1000 INR/1 hour (Seat capacity -8 ) !! At least you will get to see elephants , peacocks and other animals in that way... walking can be too exhaustive !! Rest it is maintained well... A small suggestion to management team : It would be better if they can provide bicycles !! That will be a great move

Nice place near the city of Bhubaneswar where you can feel the nature at its best. A picnic spot, hangout place, trekking place. You can visit both Deras and Jhumka area. There is a jungle safari at the main gate that can be best enjoyed in the winters.

Simply an Awesome place . I can't describe the journey. It was a beautiful ride for us. Adventures ride and full of enjoyment. But after reaching to the destination, we just felt it like Kashmir. It's not advisable to go there. We didn't know . As it's purely comes under elephant zone. Unknowingly we explored that place as there no prohibition board anywhere. So my opinion is not to visit that place. It's very risky . As one of the forester said if any elephant will kill you then you will be only responsible for this. And we also come across snakes on the way . Than you

It's a quick escape from the chaos of the city. Well connected by road from khordah and Bhubaneswar. Pleasant greenery with elephants, deers, peacock and other birds. It is great morning place to get fresh, cool oxygen. One can book the safari online prior to the date. Though the there are several elephants in this forest, seeing them depends on luck. While booking the ticket online, the earliest slot for one hour safari that it shows, starts at 7am. By 7 am, the jungle is already well light, and lesser chance of seeing any animals. The authority should have a look at this issue. When we reached there, the gate was open but no one was around. On the safari ticket that we booked online, two phone numbers were written. One of them rings, but no one picks up and another is not a valid one. We had to wait for a while without knowing what to do. Even when they showed up, it took a while to start the safari. The management must look at this issue. The later we start the safari, the lesser we see any animals. We could see only two peacocks, though the scenics was magnificent, calming. There are a few harmless, adventures activities near the gate. Overall, it is a good place to fresh up minds.
