Central Metro Station - Transportation service in Chennai - Chennai, India

Astonished with how well the metro service is being maintained. It took me just 30-40 mins to reach airport from central. The government must push for 1) Better connectivity with buses 2) Purchase of monthly subscriptions via App or website 3) Night services 4) Cheaper prices 5) More awareness to public Metro should soon become the default mode of travel for Chennai.

Located in the center of the city each and every train passes through. Well maintained and air-conditioned, great job to all the people who provide support to keep it clean and hygienic. The middle of all stations .perfect place for all peoples to travel. Opposite Government Hospitals and Soukarpet the place we can shop anything at a reasonable price. The Madras Coffe Shop located inside refreshes our travel.Near Egmore and center of the city.

A well planned metro station that connects the central railway station, Koyambedu bus station, washermenpet railway station, central suburban station, park station that have trains till tambaram, chengalpattu,big government hospital and what not. You get connected to most parts of the city from here. Even you have a bus stand very nearby. Ample of cabs and autos are also available. You have a parking for both two and four wheelers also. You have security at all entry and exit to assist and safe guard people. You have well maintained restrooms. Use your foot to open the pipes at washrooms. Frequent visitos would be used to it. New people would found it confusing Initially. You have many lifts for the elderly and disabled. You have seperate rooms for feeding mothers. You have many snack shops inside including aavin.

Very nice metro station with good AC and air ventilation. Guides are there to guide us. Cleanly maintained. Very well supported for differently abled people

Walkable distance from Mgr Chennai Central railway station. Lift, escalater and steps to reach near metro. One of the best thing is they provide very reasonable priced tickets, very much worth watching the citylife and explore famous points in Chennai. Metro station is cool and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Cleanly maintained metros. Ticket system has to be improved to provide faster access to tickets. Connection point for the blue and green line in metros. We have good,timely,quicker commutation across cities through is metro is good for public. Cost is little costlier can be think and reduce the ticket price. Need few more vendors/snacks within premises for quick bite for frequent commuters.

My first time visit to Chennai metro station. From childhood days central station was my only mode of transport outside chennai plus my favourite spot too. From central metro, the best ever memorable view I had yesterday was the full view of the most iconic place of chennai Central station. Today I came to attend a heritage walk. Metro station hopping. Our starting point was Central metro. Being Madras week, I also came to see the archives photographs displayed in the station.
