Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology, Ranchi (CIPET Ranchi) (Hindi: keNdriiy plaasttik abhiyaaNtrikii evN praudyogikii sNsthaan, raaNcii )[2] is an autonomous public learning and research institution located at Hehal , Ranchi the capital city of Jharkhand, India. It functions under department of chemicals and petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India which was established in the year of 2017 and is one of 15 Institute under Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (India). The Institute offers Doctoral Programme in Polymer Science, Material Science and Plastics Engineering, Masters, Under Graduate Programs in affiliation with Ranchi University, Ranchi accredited by All India Council of Technical Education. CIPET : CSTS - Ranchi was established in the year 2017 to cater the needs of plastics and allied industries in Jharkhand and other adjoining areas. The institute is situated in the holistic land of Bhagwan Birsa Munda at Ranchi and spread over sprawling area of having 13.00 acres Administrative buildings, hostel, Workshops and adequate green landscape for extracurricular activities and equipped with the state of the art facilities in Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tooling, Plastic Processing, Testing, Quality Control & Inspection services in order to meet the customer requirements of Plastics & allied industries. The facilities of the centre have been modernized through joint support of Govt. of India and Govt. of Jharkhand. The institute is well equipped with audio visual facilities and computers with advanced CAD software. CIPET : CSTS - Ranchi will specially focus to provide employment oriented academic programs and skill development training programs for the unemployed / underemployed / underprivileged youths of Jharkhand state. Also to provide technical support services to the plastics and allied industries and their growth in the state of Jharkhand.
