Central Guest House - Hotel in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

Beautiful hotel, infrastructure is good. Well Maintened rooms. This is a lovely heritage hotel, with excellent service. Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is nice and has many diverse options.

I stay three day in this guest house, but first day experience not good, first day we book two AC Standard room but provide one room with two double bed . otherwaise hotel was good,

The hotel is the worst place to stay in and the rooms smell of dampness as there is a lot of seepage in all the rooms. We had booked triple occupancy rooms however got one triple occupancy and one double occupancy. I will never book this room and would request u to remove this room from the app.

Location wise it's very convenient. Room is old pattern...but overall it is okay to stay one or two days at Kolkata city.

review-i went to kolkata from bihar for 1 night stay. i went to a club after informing at the reception that i will come late. i came back at 2 am, no one was at reception. shutter was closed. i was really drunk. there was a bell which i kept ringing for 15 min. after that i laid down on the roadside for half hour, and asked the goibibo customer care to inform the hotel to open the shutter. after 45 min, they opened it. i went to my room. i puked on the floor. in the morning, i asked the housekeeping to clean it. i gave the janitor rs 100 for that. i had a hangover so i was laying on my bed. i saw that but he wouldn't accept it. so i let it go. then my female friend was to visit me. the reception guy refused to let her check-in, stating that bachelors are not allowed. i said that it is written on the app that this hotel is bachelor friendly, then he argued that look at the price you pay, it's less. i asked him if the price was more, will he let her check in. just look at the thinking of that reception guy. finally he let her check in. while checking out,the person who opened the shutter at night asked me rs 100 for opening the shutter. he said that's the rule. he wouldn't let me go. so i had to scold him for that also. also toilet was western style with a a broken jet. can you imagine using a western toilet without a jet? the room smelled, there were hair everywhere on the bed sheet. so the overall experience was really really bad. i wouldn't recommend anyone to go to that hotel.

Rooms are good equipped with ac but bathrooms were a bit malfunctioning. Main usp of this hotel is its location, its near chandni chowk metro station and other available facilities are eateries and amenities.

Horrible place... The helper staff is fine however, the rooms are horrible, I sat on the bed and the bed broke as it was balancing on bricks and I had to change the room however the other room had seepage and was smelling very bad could not sleep whole night. When I asked for the refund then they deducted for one extra day as penalty charges

Nice stay. Prime location. Behavior of staffs are extremely polite and helpful. Room was little bit smaller but not a big issue. My check-in time was 12pm though I reached Kolkata at 6am and got an early check-in at 6:30am with a minimal extra amount. Nowadays early check-in is near to impossible but they managed for me. Thank you to the management. Will stay again on my next visit to Kolkata.
