Hi, it has been an amazing experience staying at this hotel. We were taken aback by the mesmerizing view from our room. All rooms are having wonderful view. If you are planning to visit Darjeeling and want a peaceful yet nearby mall then this is the best place to stay. Staff behavior was extremely cordial. Really loved staying here... I really do recommend
The only thing going for this hotel at the moment is its location - just a 2-minute walk from the Mall. Other than that, everything else is average or even below average and simply doesn't justify the high tariff. Our room was huge and clean; but there is no character in them. Moreover the hotel doesn't provide free heaters and one needs to rent them if needed. Bathroom and toilet were extremely basic; the exhaust fan in the toilet didn't work and was not repaired despite bringing it to the hotel staff's attention. On our last day, even the solo light bulb in the toilet went kaput. The geyser was alright though. We had wonderful valley and partial Kanchenjunga view from out room. The complimentary breakfast is again the most basic one can imagine. Some bread, butter, jam, fruits and paratha/poori sabzi. Next time I am in Darjeeling, I will give Central Gleneagles a miss and try other hotels/resorts with similar price points.
Not a place I would suggest Overpriced in one word. Location is good Got nice valley view from the room. Room size for 2 was very very big. Lots of space to play around in the room Apart from these everything was below expectation as per the price charged
We booked the room with private terrace. Room: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Food: 5/10 Location: 11/10 View from Room: 12/10 Prices: Heavily Overpriced if you take the "View" out of the room.
We had a pleasant stay at the property. It is a well maintained property and staffs are very helpful. Check-in and check-out process were very smooth. Whatever I asked for was met. They even considered my request for late check-out. The property is at walking distance from Mall market. There is a restaurant at the property as well. Everyone was friendly.
Location of the hotel was excellent but the hotel itself was very outdated and cold. It's crazy that we had to pay for a heater!!!!!
Good hotel to stay with family, as it is very close to the mall road. Markets nearby. On top of that the view from hotel rooms is awesome.
This hotel and it's view, it is just breathtaking. We got the room with the private terrace and i am again coming back to this place. It was a peaceful and amazing stay with the Central Gleneagles. A person will be sent by the hotel to take your luggage from Banu Bhawan. And you can then walk up to the mall road and through the new Mahakal market. By the end of the market, you will reach the hotel. I would highly recommend this place , if you want a peaceful stay among the hustle and bustle of Darjeeling
