Central Avenue - Hotel in Kannur - Kannur, India

Located near Kannur Railway station. Adequate parking facility available. Rooms are really nice and comfortable. The restaurant here is so good that one should not miss trying it. Buffet lunch/dinner is a huge crowd puller. Has adequate facilities/halls for board meetings and family functions.

Horrible Charges. Never recommended. May be a good place of yesteryears since saw some good reviews too here and there hence took the place. But currently not even a shadow of the legacy whatever was there in the reviews. As a customer I am also ready to pay that extra amounts if the facilities are good. Here the charges were extremely high for the services/facilities provided. The requirement was just for an extended day time (6 am - 8pm) and no overnight one and the charges were 3200/-. The place was taken only for freshening up and for hardly 2-3 hrs in the morning and an hour in the evening and they had enough rooms vacant. The room was not at all cleaned while I came back in the evening (Images Attached). The staff member who helped in checking in the morning told us that he will come back on the rates when we complained on the rates after seeing the room. But once when we checked with the person who came for the day duty, he was fully offensive and told the rates are irrevocable. The overall experience was bad and the style of conversation and the behaviour too, to spoil your whole day. Never recommend based on my personal experience and if you are getting a deal in any travel site at around 1500/- fair enough.

I stayed in Hotel Central Avenue from 23rd,24th & 25th of March-2015. The overall stay is OUTSTANDING. The rooms,logistics are superb. Ambiance is marvelous. Best view of outside Kannur. The front desk staff are highly cooperative & response is sharply prompt. Especially Mr.Samson & Mr.Pranav are highly resourceful managers for Hotel. They are young,energetic & asset to the Hotel Management. Regarding restaurant, the food is wonderful have all combinations viz., Kerala favorite dish fish, chicken,prawns,hygienic vegetarian food,fresh fruit salad,sweet & variety of ice creams etc. The restaurant staff(especially Mr. Polous) are so cooperative, such as they kept hot dishes at night 00:15 hrs. Cleanliness,maintenance of air condition and other amenities are exemplary. 24x7 hot water availability,bathing in tub made me completely stress free & relaxed.The Cordial talk of highly experienced Sri.Srinivasan,GM made me really delightful.Over all I am >100% happy during my 3 days stay at Hotel Central Avenue. Whenever I get opportunity to visit Kannur, I will stay only in this Hotel Only. It is centrally located hotel also.Thank a lot to front desk staff, Restaurant staff,house keeping & other staff. Clean rooms, bathrooms, toiletries provided. Spacious room with kettle, tea, coffee and sugar sachets. Restaurant is well maintained. Food is average but breakfast is good. They have good parking lot with a good view. Close to the railway station.

Clean hotel. The kind of staff who call you up if you are driving there in the monsoon to find out whether food should be kept warm for you and your driver. That is the level of courtesy, warmth and genuine wish to help. The Kerala food there is exceptionally yummy. They'll rustle up Jain food for you too. Under Manager Shrinivasan it's a great place to stay in.

Great hotel, food is above average in fact excellent, room service brilliant. Rooms comfortable shower rooms can get slippery, only fault for me. Oh One other thing it is suggested that WiFi is free but this means in the lobby only not in rooms! For modern day this is a big mistake on hotels part! Try the iced tea from room service!

It says it is a 3 star hotel but it did not even meet the criteria for a normal hotel. The room was congested, Menu card was a hoax (most of the items were not available) and it claimed to have Wi-Fi in higher priced rooms. But when i called for Wi-Fi password they said it is only available in the lobby. Do they mean that if all the guest wants to use the Wi-Fi they have to crowd the lobby area and the tired guest will have to leave their room come down to the lobby just to check for any important updates. The food was tasteless, except for Kerala parantha(working might be wrong person me). Also the fridge was not working. They do not treat you like a guest in any manner. I travel a lot and i have seen a normal hotel (not a start hotel) having better services and facilities than this. Suggestion to my friends - please check everything to see what they have promised and what you are getting and then only go for the check-in. Any how i don't think you will do a check-in after you have seen that all what i said is true. If at all it were possible to give a zero star i would have. But then i would not have been able to post my review.
