Celesta has location advantage being close to airport but it throws challenge if you to to travel to other part of city. Rooms were good but breakfast was disappointing. Even at 8.30 (open time is 7.30), staff was missing and getting fresh food like dosa or omelette was a struggle.
One of the best hotels to stay in Kolkata. If you want to witness the friendliness of Kolkata people, please do stay here. We did not had restaurant service so cannot comment on that. But the hotel service and room was top notch. And the concierge are really intelligent and knowledgeable about the place. Would definitely stay here on my revisit
Managers are very rude. He didn't know how to talk with the guests. Their behavior is look like the road side dhaba. In a guest house staffs are more knowledgeable and polite from that people. They only know one thing, management decide that. What kind of management are maintain in celesta, I don't know. They are directly ask to guest to check out, even we are adjust with their lots of issues i.e. smelly water, AC.
Completely unprofessional behavior of Mr. Asit. Didn't pickup the phone call and haven't any responsibility to call back. When meet at hotel physically, his way of talking is like a non-management background. Playing a song on mobile with loudly in reception area. It's really a unexpected experience from a hospitality industry.
Went here for a Rice-ceremony function. *The corridors, rooms, banquet and also the entrance are classy. All together Good ambience. *But the food was so-so. *Good location easily locateable. *The cake was prepared by the hotel itself and it's the view in the banquet which is on the 7th floor.

Not bad for a solo traveller. Short distance from the Kolkata Airport and is located on the mainroad so not difficult to find it even at midnight. Good service with decent food. It is just little too expensive for a Rs4000/- room. I have a stayed in a better room for 2000 to 3000 Rs in other Hotels.
