Castillo De Woods - Resort hotel in Vattavada - Idukki, India

Castillo De Woods is one of my favourite travel experiences till date! Amidst the mountains and serene view, this place stands unique with the old traditional architecture fully furnished in wood which is beautifully done and the surrounding, so clean and green. The property itself has a lot of scenic spots and if lucky you can sight the endemic wildlife. My favourite was the trek and bird walk we did. Incredible number of birds and the variety of it. Wow! All credits to Allan who been a wonderful host guided us on our trek and bird walk sharing about the wilderness and diversity. Along with the other staffs, he ensured that we are receiving the best experience. The food was also really good and the amount of food they served with every meal was insane. The villa we stayed is a private one and only one group is allowed at a time- I loved that intimate setting and privacy. It is quiet and is perfect for someone who's looking for mindfulness. The place is also safe and kids friendly. I see myself returning here for sure!

This was easily one of the most memorable vacation experiences I've had in a while. From the minute we entered the resort until the end of our stay, the staff ensured that all of our needs were catered to. The staff was extremely congenial and helpful; an absolute joy to have around and to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The guest rooms were immaculate. The food was brilliant. The resort is located in an absolutely pristine place - I can't recommend this place enough if you enjoy birds. One of the staff persons, Allan, has a fairly comprehensive knowledge of the birds there and that really helped us make more sense of what we were seeing and hearing during our walks around the property. In all an absolutely gorgeous escapades located in one of the most serene slices of nature. Will come again for sure. Thanks to the staff for making it an especially great stay.

The most amazing resort I've ever been to!! Amazing experience here, you can find everything here, don't have to go outside at all. The staff's hospitality was very good, room was the best could can ask for and the hiking and sunset point view were our main hangout points. The property is deep in the jungle which made our stay even more beautiful and close to nature.

The resort exceeded all expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The picturesque location provided breathtaking views, and the accommodations were luxurious and comfortable. The variety of activities and amenities ensured there was something for everyone. A truly unforgettable experience.

The resort is a cosy place nestled amongst the hills. View is just splendid. The whole architecture of the resort resembles Kerala traditional house. The staff at the place were very attentive and made sure that our stay is comfortable. They did a very nice job in arranging cake and decorating the place for a birthday celebration for us. Barbecue and campfire were also really nice. Overall the stay was amazing and would highly recommend.

I recently visited castillo de woods and I had the best experience over there. I have visited Munnar and Koviloor many times and according to my opinion, I had the best experience over here. For a proof I am keeping some pictures too. To talk about stay, it was amazing and the way how they maintained the resort is absolutely incredible. I would literally give 10 out of 10 for the maintenance. Now moving to the staffs, they are very friendly and easily approachable and moreover food prepared by them was great. I had few bad experiences from other resorts where I stayed, but believe me this is the perfect place for kids and ladies in terms of safety. Kindly, visit Castillo when u get some time to spend a perfect holiday with family and friends.

Superb luxury villa, The good thing is that they are taking only one booking at a time, so the privacy is guaranteed the entire resort is yours. Location, service and food all are amazing. The glass room is a highlight here. You can explore everything in Vattavada, the resort is providing multiple packages including night wildlife safari, sight seeing, wildlife trekking, nature walk(hard trekking), farm visit, off road jeep safari etc.. I would like to visit this place again..

Had an awesome stay at Castillo de woods. The caretaker Mr.shaji chettan is such a down to earth person who's super polite and pleasent. The property is well maintained. The whole team is super supportive and will sort out any issues you might face.
