Castaway - Backpacker Hostel in Manali, Bashisht - Kullu, India

The location of homestay is very beautiful. Perfect place for a long stay with great hospitality.We had a great home- like experience during the stay, with homely food and a cute dog to keep you company. Rooms are very clean with the best view when you wake up. This homestay is truly a hidden gem.Overall, the stay, the food,the hospitality of host and his mom was phenomenal . They ensured we had a wonderful time there.

Hands down, one of the best place I have ever stayed in. The Castaway team is very welcoming and made us feel home. Their home cooked meals are made with love. A true feel of belonging to nature amidst the mountains and a spectacular view to wake up to. A home far away from home!

Cast away is the perfect example of Home away from home. We as a group of 5 felt very welcomed and accepted, and despite our needs no matter how varied, they have been there for us. The hospitality was clearly out of what you would normally experience, keep up the good job Team! The serenity and tranquility of the location is a huge highlight and you wouldn't find that everywhere even in Manali. This and the comfort food prepared by Mahija aunty is something that we miss even today. Looking forward to being casted away at the new location! Thank you so much Chethan!

I think giving 5 star will be still too less for the cast of castaway that is chethan and hanin.. I stayed for a period of almost 40+ days as i decided to work from home ove there. i was a bit worried at first due to the network concerns but once I reached this beautiful property i was amazed..it is situated far away from the crowded city of manali and stop a beautiful hillock . I was able to work peacefully without any power interruptions . The hosts are great dudes and during my entire stay I felt as if i was staying at a home away from home.They take care of entire thing from food , rooms and cleanliness is top notch .The rooms are wooden and hence add an extra layer of calm and cleanliness . This property is definitely a must for those seeking peace and tranquility and you will be amazed at the views that you can witness just by walking around the property. It's truly a paradise on earth in manali .. Thanking the hosts once again and for sure will be my next spot during the winters

Stayed here for a week in February 2022. It's a great place. It was the best experience staying there.Location is very beautiful and close to nature. This place is very well maintained.Home cooked food was yummy. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. I loved the ambience I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely want to come back to this place again. Thank you Chethan and Hannin for the wonderful stay and hospitality. Cheers!!

Best 2 weeks in Manali with the best view, ultimately tastey food and pretty cool hosts :) a proper cast away for any future Manali visitors.

I stayed at Castwaty Inn back in December for more than a week. Let me start with the hosts, Chethan & Hani. They're the best hosts you could ever ask for and I guess they're just superb. The property is very well maintained and clean. The view from the property is breath taking and I was privileaged to have a such an experience of a life time. I can't just wait to visit them again!

Great place and great guys to hang out, with located in koshla near vashist village. It is not a hotel or hostel it is a home where you will feel very peaceful and calm environment.
