Casa Sumanjo - Guest house in Bardez, Calangute - North Goa, India

I preferred this resort as it was a pet friendly one. We as a family, had a happy stay here with our pets. Basic amenities were provided. There is space for Car Parking. Easy access to almost all the tourist spots. Very close to Calangute and Baga beaches as they are at walkable distance. Since restaurants were at walkable distance, problem of food was solved. Thanks to Mr. Joe, the owner who is a humble, polite and helpful person. It would have been better if atleast breakfast was provided as complimentary with package. Toiletries provided wasn't sufficient. Their is scope for improvement.

Worst experience. This stay has only cons and no prons. I wouldn't recommend this stay to anyone. At night around 11 pm, we checked in, we settled in the room and then we asked the care taker that is AC working? and he said it is working completely fine. After some time, we found that only the fan in the AC is working but no coolness and we immediately called the Care Taker he told us that some issue is with the AC and we will change the room next day. So, we said it is fine, somehow we managed and the next morning they changed our room to the 1st floor, first one hour everything was fine and after that problem started again, seems that they have seperate switches to control the power and AC. They turned off the AC but fan and other things were working fine. When we checked them they said single phase, AC doesn't work until the power comes. Throughout the night, they turned off the AC and only the fan and other plug points were working. Their balcony view is vey worst all the garbage is dumped down. They are least bothered about customer service. So, please be careful before you book any room form his hotel. I would give 0 star for this place.

Worst experience of all times. There was no water, no electricity and no service. Rajan, the so-called caretaker, and ultimately useless fellow, did not care for a bit. He was simply sitting and smiling at our situation. The owner, Joe, was even more careless. He did not even try to address the problem. And it looked like he was drunk too, that too early in the morning. NEVER COME HERE. I REPEAT, NEVER COME HERE.

Had an excellent stay at Casa Sumanjo for 3 nights 4 days. The location is fantastic, with the beach being just a 5 min walk. There are multiple good restaurants in the vicinity. The staff is polite and helpful, they provided us with scooty rental contacts as well as cabs whenever necessary. The rooms were sufficiently well furnished and the toilets were clean. Would highly recommend this place for people looking for cheap but good stay options in Calangute. Thanks Casa Sumanjo!

Worst hotel in Calangute,run by goons,you are not safe in this place,espically couple's,be careful of your belongings,they will steal from the room,no parking

Stayed in Casa Sumanjo for 3 days. Booked A/c room.Room is just okay. It's completely unhygienic outside the balcony. An open drainage was found outside. I paid Rs850/day. It is a house converted into stay! Owner handed over the key on arrival and the next time we saw him was during checkout No hospitality at all. Since it was Christmas time, I couldn't find a better place within my budget. Construction of stay is still going on. Will not recommend to anyone!

Had a chance to stay at Casa Sumanjo a couple of months back. I should definitely say that they offered top class hospitality and service. The location was perfect since it was a 5 minutes walk to Calangute Beach. Unfortunately, I encountered some technical difficulties because I lost my phone and I was really helpless at a point . During that that, Joaquim, the host even helped me out to get a new number. I won't forget it and I'm really thankful to him for helping me out during unfortunate situation. I seriously recommend all travellers who are planning to stay near Calangute area should reserve rooms at Casa Sumanjo.

Quite spacious and clean. Has all the amenities such as large bed, hot water, AC. You can keep your foodstuff in refrigerator with the owner. Bike rental and wine shop is adjacent to the place. 1 km from the main road. Beach is also 1 km on its backside. The owner Jaquoim is very cooperative. Room service is on demand. No restrictions on outside food and drinks.
