Carol Days Restaurant - Seafood restaurant in Mararikulam - Alappuzha, India

Beautiful quiet beach, with perfect sand and sea. We had fried crab with curry and rice and fried sardines and mackerel. The fry marinade was delicious. The fish was fresh.

A beautiful small shack looked very inviting as we walked straight by the Marari Beach after a fun morning at the beach. We had ordered one plate of Pomfret and one plate of French Fries because we wanted to eat light. Little did we know that the one plate of fish we ordered came with one bowl of rice, one bowl of gravy, a beetroot side dish and papad (which was a pleasant surprise). The food was homely and tasted really good. Everything was clean and freshly prepared. They even served us some fresh orange segments at the end which was a really nice touch to the beautiful experience. All in all our tummies were full and we had only spent a few bucks. A real value for money Overall, a really nice find and a must visit if you go to Marari Beach.

Restaurant tres correct et excellent service. La famille est tres sympa. L'attente peut etre un peu longue mais c'est le cas de tous les restaurant du coin. Les portions ne sont pas tres grandes.

Delicious food (especially the fish). The menu goes by what was caught this day which is perfect in my opinion because it is the only way to ensure that the fish is fresh and local. The hut itself is very cute and directly on the beach. We even spotted dolphins while we were eating!!!

A simple beach cafe which serves up really good food. Nice and clean, and friendly. We were happy to linger most of the afternoon here! Not the fastest service for food as cooked fresh, but worth the wait Daughter Akhari is also just starting a massage and treatment center close by after working in the big resorts - she's very good!

Simple tasty home cooked meals. Grilled fried or curry seafood options come as a complete meal ( rice veg dhal s and poppadom side) Chicken egg and other options too. Small Beach hut on beach perfect sea view. Friendly staff. Very reasonable prices.

We went here as our favourite restaurant (the eponymous Palm Heaven) was full, and seeing that this place has good reviews we came here instead. There was no one there when we arrived, so we expected a fairly speedy service. We ordered a very simple meal, which seemed good value as the fried fish came with rice, veg curry and dessert. However, after 20 minutes an Indian couple arrived with their guide, who ordered separately and then they were served within 10 minutes. Meanwhile we still hadn't received any food, or any communication. When our food did arrive (after 45 minutes) the food was very underwhelming, with tough bland squid and no veg curry. When we asked the waiter about the curry he said there was no veg curry today, just veg fried rice instead - which was again a meager replacement, and wasn't hot. In short, we waited far too long for food that barely needed cooking and was dull when it finally arrived. You are much better off at Palm Heaven down the beach (nearer the road entrance to the beach).

Super tasty crab and very good fresh sardines! We tried almost all the food places around the area and this is definetely the best spot if you like seafood and fish. The restaurant is run by a local family and they are very caring, awesome place!!
