Cardamom County by Xandari - Resort hotel in Kumily - Idukki, India

I think this must be the best hotel in this location. We had a nice stay at this hotel. The restaurant Spice was a good experience. The staff of the restaurant was really helpful and friendly. We took one room with our 2 kids. That was too small. The beds for the kids were very hard and uncomfortable. Rooms were very clean. They were working to prepare new rooms at the hotel and it was noisy. It went on long hours in the evening. The pool didn't look clean.

Excellent property that is well maintained & Great hospitality which made our stay more pleasant. Bedroom, bathroom and pool were very well kept. It's a place where you can be more close to nature with good variety of spice garden and fruit trees. It's a very beautiful and picturesque infrastructure, Loved the importance they give to nature. Great stay, amazing facilities and really beautiful location! Good food and ambience. A lot of great places to visit nearby that are accessible easily.

The stay was very smooth and relaxing. The atmosphere was so refreshing surrounded by the birds sounds and fresh chill breeze We totally loved it. They have good breakfast options and also the restaurant has pretty good food. Or if you want to eat out, it's in the main locality so walk out , you will find very options. They would also help to arrange your sight seeings if needed, can check at the reception. The spa was ok ok, as we have had pretty good massages earlier so spa is okay but may be of your liking, can try Overall it's was a good stay and experience staying there!!

It was a comfortable stay but expensive for the services, and utilities they provide . Rooms were comfy and staff were very hospitable. Food taste and quality is not so good. Food is extremely expensive and quality needs to be improved. Wouldn't recommend the spa either. Overall an average experience not worth the money we paid. Beware of the monkeys as well.

We (myself and my friend) had lunch from the Cardamom County (CC) restaurant on our back to Ernakulam from Madurai on 30 June 2023. We had a late lunch. The resultant team was so welcoming to greet us and served a very good lunch. The team member who was taking the order had explained the quantity / volume of each item and it really helped us to make proper order. This system is so helpful and for the customers not to waste food and money. The salted soda lime juice and tea served was excellent. We will definitely consider this place to have our stay here in our next trip. Excellent and feel good experience here. Thankful to Team CC.

wonderful place. the air quality, and the smell of nature is simply ummatched. the behaviour of the staff is a standout and I can make no complaints. the food quality also, is something of note. would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend.

Decently maintained resort. Landscapes and old trees retained. The highlight could be the well maintained small swimming pool. The construction work outside makes it a bit dusty outside. Mosquitoes could be the only major issue!

I just had the most amazing staycation at cardamom county by Xandari , Thekkady. You can trust Goole maps to take you to the right location and it is very near the main attractions of Thekkady like the boating area inside the reserve forest , the staff is the highlight here, their behaviour is very cordial, right from the security to the housekeeping staff.There is ample parking space with an area to charge your Electronic vehicles.We were warmly greeted by the staff with a welcome drink and a tilak in the forehead. The check in process was smooth and hassle free, I had booked online via Agoda and had no issues whatsoever, the booking was followed as expected, we chose two periyar cottages for myself, my parents and my sister . The rooms were spacious, clean and ambient, they had an amazing view , the whole resort is surrounded by lush flora and fauna , nature has almost taken over every part of that place and you can hear birds sing almost every time, the resort is located in a hilly terrain and the cottages are arranged as such but with beautifully carved walking spaces and steps.The food at their restaurant was toothsome, they had high tea with snacks everyday by 4 pm , their coffe and tea were amazing, the menu was also lavish and included all sorts of local and international cuisines. Room service was prompt and the staff was always ready to help. They have a dedicated travel desk who will help regarding your travel needs be it for local sightseeing or for transfers, we took their one day off roading package to a nearby view point and the experience was safe and joyous. Overall we enjoyed it as a family, we had actually gone to Thekkady to celebrate my Father's birthday and he enjoyed it as well , they have a relaxing spa and a gym and a huge pool but couldn't check them out . We are really impressed by the service and hospitality of cardamom county and will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a complete staycation to rest , recuperate and for some amazing forest/nature adventures. Oh and the climate there at this time (July end - Aug beginning) was just perfect, not too rainy and not too sunny, nights were cold and the days were pleasant.
