Caravela Beach Resort - Resort hotel in Salcete, Orlim - South Goa, India

We had a wonderful stay at the Caravela. There was a slight issue with the room when we arrived but it was rectified quickly and efficiently. We initially booked the Deluxe room and the room they put us in was definitely not the deluxe from the photo. They moved us without hesitation to the room we should have had in the first place and we couldn't fault it. The highlight for us was the service- the staff are all so friendly and will go out their way for you. Chef Paul was very kind to us and the food was delicious- fresh and very tasty. The location is superb- the beach was magical. I felt like I was in paradise.

Stayed there for 3 days with family. A very good resort with a private beach feel.kids thoroughly enjoyed the stay.Staff is supportive and will immediately attend your queries. cons is that its little outskirts and you don't get any other restaurants, cafes nearby. Visited North Goa for a day taking rental car from Vaz car rental.(100 m from resort). Overall a good experience.

The resort has a private beach, very nice location. The property is huge and well maintained. The rooms are large and spacious. The food options are very limited and not the best specially non Indian cuisines. The beach side restaurants don't have much option of food or bites. There is no other shop or shacks near this as it is meant for a secluded experience.

This was our third visit to the resort, which has become our go-to spot whenever we visit Goa's southern coastline. Caravela is a wonderful location with stunning architecture and wonderfully kept gardens and lawns. It has access to a clean beach, which contributes to the whole experience of the resort. If you are a vegetarian, the hotel restaurant has a restricted menu; breakfast is well-stocked with a variety of selections, but it can become repetitive after a few days. Throughout our time, they gave us with delicious food for our children at no cost, which was a pleasant surprise. The standout feature of the resort is its courteous staff, who never fails to attend to your needs. Overall, it was a fantastic time, as it always is at the resort, and we look forward to revisiting it.

I booked this supposedly five star resort for a "luxury" stay. The pros are that the property is beautiful with three restaurants a pool bar and an activity room for painting, etc. There's a great spa facility for those who want to relax. The cons are that this is far from a five star resort. The following are small points but on the whole dampen the whole experience. The reception staff in the first exchange appear to be haughty. The room was like a matchbox for the amount they take from you. There's a bathtub but it's barely big for one person and that is the shower area too which I felt was very unsafe. The food was at best average, by the second day we were bored. And the prices on the food menu were exorbitant. No one answers at the concierge and the response is very delayed. Coming to room service, they clean the room when we didn't ask or put any sign outside. And cleaning is very shoddy. We kept requesting for an ashtray for 3 days which they said would bring but would forget I guess. There were frequent power cuts, the wifi was horrible so they gave a dongle a day later.

Very nice place if you are looking for a peaceful time. Very good for family beach trip. Food is great and the Staff is also very supportive. I had a very nice experience and have visited couple of times.

It's a beautiful property to stay and relax. If the bathrooms can be renovated and made a little modern this will be one of the best properties. Breakfast buffet has a good spread, evenings there is beautiful live music. The private beach area is one of the best I have experienced it's clean and well maintained with staff to support and towels ready after a good walk or play in the sea. The swimming pool is well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. Loved staying here, would have given a 5 Star if the bathrooms were modern.

The hotel also had an impressive rooftop bar, which offered stunning views of the city and delicious cocktails. Overall, the Caravela Beach Resort exceeded our expectations and made for a memorable weekend getaway. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the city.
