Car-Go Bites - Fast food restaurant in Kochi, Ernakulam - Ernakulam, India

It's located at the le Meridien entrance. A small cafe arranged aesthetically. A cup of coffee with their background music takes you to another world. A few old model chairs arranged there to sit, relax and eat.

Tried this plate out on a whim and absolutely loved the food. You reach here by entering Le Meridien and taking a left. There is tons of parking here which is a huge bonus. The view around you is pretty much Crowne Plaza, Le Meridien itself and the Sunset Cinema 'hall'. The ambience and menu is pretty much food-on-the-go, served in easily pickable containers. Coming to the food, we tried a variety which I will explain here. We started with the attinkal (mutton trotter) soup. Like the tomato basil soup, this is served in a bread bowl. It's piping hot and packs a lot of flavour. Of the two soups, I personally loved the mutton better. The classic nachos were a pleasant surprise - gracious amounts of cheese and way better than your default movie theater variety nachos. I'd recommend it. Caribbean chicken drumsticks were 3 pieces a plate and were nice and tender and the masala on top was quite nice. The classic Buffalo chicken wings were again a nice flavour and go great with French fries (we ordered fries separately but honestly, you get some with pretty much every dish here! The fries are again thick and the right texture and flavour) There are over 8 sauces (aoili, mint, cocktail etc) which add a nice zing to your starter dishes. The travancore fried chicken wrap was a nice flavour too as was the penne meatballs. Of the lot, I preferred the double beef burger - it was so juicy and quite filling. We tried their brownies and creme brulee a la Sri Lanka - the former was a rich Brownie while the latter has a nice hit of cardamom. Their cold coffee bottle can serve 3 at least and is actually not very sweet, which is good. The rates are on the higher side but then, these are the same Chefs and team from Le Meridien and it shows in the quality of their food. But for those still looking for a bargain deal, I'd suggest finding the team to eat there between 4 - 7 pm (it's flat 50 percent off) at which point all of this becomes a huge bargain.

A good place to hangout and dine by Le Meridian Kochi. The quality of food they serve is really good. And serving size as well. But the time taking for getting an order on a weekend here is quite frustrating. It took more than an hour to get us a 2 main course, 2 sides order.

Car-go / Drive-through model with lot many flops. No hand wash / sanitizer facilities anywhere near the outlet. To do handwashing either needed to go to Le Meridien Hotel Lobby which is too far from the kiosk, else to do with paper napkin. Secondly, bottled beverages and drinking water charged multiple times higher than MRP, which is against law and also punishable offence. For their menu items they can put their price, but for bottled items charging so high is not acceptable. We tried 3 menu items there, and all the 3 items, qualitywise not upto the mark of Le Meridien or Club Marriott cusine. (Yes, the outlet is of Club Marriott, in the premises of Le Meridien). It is good vibe for a late night food, but food is below average quality (compared to similarly priced outlets) and above average rates. Need to improve a lot.

A real cool place to have a small hangout at evening time. Real good food, nice tea, nice enviro, plenty of parking, quirky but cool seating, overall feel good here. Full marks.

The ambience is great but the food is atrocious. The French fries taste like cardboard. Burger is just simply horrible, same is the case with the sandwich. Also the French fries were unsalted. But this thing that flipped my switch was the fact that the employee at the kitchen sipped and tasted the drink from the same glass that was served before serving. The hygiene in the kitchen and staff is disgustingly poor. No gloves or hair nets(though the chef is dressed appropriately, the man who helped out is the one who I'm mentioning ). Did not expect such horrible experience from le merdian. Pure disappointment.

Oh wow!! What a lovely place to hangout. We tried their nachos, brownie, dry fruits shake and French fries with cheese. They have open sitting area which is a beauty to this place. You can sit in open and can enjoy the sky and natural air with your food. It is located inside le meridian hotel near their parking area. The staff is supper sweet and welcoming. They don't have handwash area that is one thing that I can suggest them to have.

Nice experience and good vibe. We have to wait upto one hour for one dish. And an extra half hour or cappuccino and one cool drinks. Another half hour for the parcel. A lot of food lovers are coming here and there is only one staff for taking order and for serving. One time visit only. Nice customer service though. For vegetarians - there is only veg burger and Hyderabad biriyani in the menu. Updation: Thanks for letting me know Mr. Thejus. The guy who served the food was in hurry.
