Food- 10/10 Service - 10/10 Ambience - 7/10 Food is very good. Portions are good.We tried Sweet corn Chicken soup, Finger chips,Fish Mango Curry, Butter Nan, Tandoori roti, Fish Biriyani,and Veg Hakka Chowmeen, People are extremely courteous and friendly. Restaurant managers take care of customers really good. However the whole hotel and restaurant are in a run down condition. Not sure why they are not maintaining their only "Own property" in kerala.

Sunday brunch was by far the worst food experience in Kozhikode. It used to have a great variety that made the high price worth it, but not anymore. I took my family expecting good options for my kids. Instead of a good variety, they informed us that they were not making any dosa, omelettes, pancakes, waffles, or french toast. These were the main items the kids were excited about but couldn't get. Basically, you end up spending a lot of money for mediocre food. Pick any other restaurant in the area and you will get much better food for a much better price.

Dropped in for a quick round of drinks. Good cocktails, great service and fair prices considering that it's in a Gateway.

One of the most horrible food I had recently , the hotel being rated 5 star didn't expect it to be this bad. Had gone for the Friday night buffet with family, the staff hardly bothered to mention anything about what all is included and had to ask the other way round. There were a couple of starters , and few main course items. The food was hardly warm kept at room temperature. The veg main course was bland and the payasam in the dessert section was horrible. Am surprised no one tested it and neither anyone complained. Mentioned it to one of the staff there and he just acknowledged and never came back. The buffet itself is over priced with such a poor quality food and on top the staff service is below par. The only reason for the two rating is that the soup was good and they didn't mess up the drinks ordered. Never coming back for sure.

Had the fish and chips here which were well above average, very heavy on the wallet though.

I would like to convey my heartfelt thanks to Gateway of TAJ ,for making it possible for me, to make a memorable day in my parents life with a small dinner surprise .. It was just 2 weeks back.. I felt really happy to know that DAD n MOM had a wonderful evening there .. I'm more happier because I badly wanted to be with them and bye to this pandemic nothing is according to our planning .. But thanks to Gateway Hotel team that they gave a mind-blowing experience with their kind, gentle and professional service.. It will be ride of me if I didn't mention 3 names here 1. Mr. Murali Krishna Das 2. Mr. Shine Thomas 3. Mr. Joy Without whose humble support and cooperation this wouldn't have happened.. I ordered for a buffet . Since I've told it's my parents anniversary they provided a complimentary cake too .. and also to get the look and feel of a kind off anniversary dinner they arranged tiny flowers which was available at their garden and also a card .. Again and again endless thanks to each and everyone one who helped me with this .. More than the food it is their service what attracted us a lot .. I know it's a long review .. but there is nothing that I can skip in this ..
